Bartlett's Familiar Quotations is an admirable work, and I studied it intently. The quotations when engraved upon the memory give you good thoughts. They also make you anxious to read the authors and look for more.

Here at All The Tropes, we love our quotes. A lot. Unfortunately, you can only fit so many[1] relevant quotes at the beginning of a trope article before they overwhelm the article itself.

This part is the solution to that problem. This is the place to house any and all quotes related to a given trope. The main wiki article can then feature the two pithiest or most exemplary quotes, and put the focus back on the actual article.

So, if you find a really, really good quote about a trope, and you see that its article already has a bunch of quotes, just start a Quotes subpage for that trope and move the extras there. If you're not sure where it should go, try placing it here.
