I noticed that this wiki has edits that were made years prior to Miraheze's foundation (ex. there are edits from 2013 despite Miraheze being founded in 2015). Was this wiki founded on a different host, and if so, what host was it? Just asking out of curiosity.
We were formerly hosted on the now defunct Orain hosting service, MIraheze is our current one, the 2013 edits date back to that time.

That was formerly a fork of this wiki (Al The Tropes), which I rain on the FANDOM hosting service, generally entirely at my own bequest until I was expelled from FANDOM permanently for an incident deemed in violation of their rules. It now runs as Tropedia, independent of this wiki in any way.

Have you ever considered appealing your block on Fandom and merging Tropedia into this wiki?
Not at all. They made their decision, and I shall be satisfied with that.

It is no longer my wiki to run, nor do I have involvement any longer in it. I wish the remaining members my best in keeping it going, but I have no power to affect what they do anymore, nor do I wish to since FANDOM made clear I am no longer welcome.

All The Tropes uses "Category:{{PAGENAME}}" to identify that a trope, work, or creator is the top part of a hierarchy of pages.
"Category:{{PAGENAME}}" is the format used in the new-page templates.
If we wanted to have {{PAGENAME}} replaced with the name of the page, we would have coded the template to do that. The fact that we did not should tell you something.
I have been replacing "Category:foo" with "Category:{{PAGENAME}}" manually on existing pages every time I see it for years now. I don't appreciate a bot coming in and re-breaking what I've worked to fix.
I have blocked your bot for one day so that it cannot do more of this damage to the wiki. Please fix your bot before running it again.

Hello. Sorry to drag you into this, but I think an even-handed approach is needed.
I think there is a problem on a trope that needs more moderator oversight and a more even-handed approach in my opinion.
Even despite moderator oversight (Robkelk has overseen and posted ideas of his own on that page), the page for troping Donald Trump and discussions related keeps degenerating into a one-sided hate session that breaks the rules of All The Tropes. They try to apply villain tropes to Donald Trump despite the rules for those tropes and the website saying that hero and villain tropes aren't to be used for real people (trope that have been suggested or added include Karma Houdini and Shut Up, Hannibal). For reference here are the threads in question. Warning, they are long.

I apologize for how I handled it. I didn't mean to go to Labster first then you when Labster did nothing. It wasn't because he didn't respond, I messaged him first then messaged you too because I wasn't sure how often he'd be on and did so shortly after. But I do see how that would look bad and I'll take an "L" there. Also, thank you for bringing a more even-handed voice to the discussion.

You probably already notice the site message at the top of the page. As a result of the Great Miraheze Spam Flood that affected multiple wikis in December 2020, we have instituted moderation of posts. Most people's edits and image uploads will not appear immediately, the way that they would on Wikipedia... but yours will. This is a privilege (given for consistently good edits and being a Troper in good standing), not a right.
This privilege comes with a responsibility: You also have Moderation rights. Whenever somebody makes an edit that requires moderation, it will appear at Special:Moderation until somebody with Moderation rights either approves or rejects it. Please pitch in when there are posts waiting for moderation. I trust that only spam will be rejected. 😀

I know I've been away a minute, but what's going on with the talk page deletions?
The pages that are being deleted (or edited when a deletion is not needed) contain remnants of a now defunct extension called LiquidThreads. While replaced with the current Flow/Structured Discussions talk page style, the LQT remnants have been causing database issues, so I've been blowtorching as many remnants as possible.
Whenever a talk page is not made by a spammer, has legitimate edits (aside from my own), and was not made by past troublemakers, all efforts have been made to remove only the LQT information.
