A Christmas Carol/Awesome

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • The George C Scott version's adaptation of the scene where the Ghost of Christmas Present throws the "surplus population" line back at Scrooge. Scrooge actually starts to confront him about it and the spirit proceeds to continue his tirade, which shuts Scrooge up. What makes it so much more awesome is Edward Woodward's delivery of the lines and the fact that there's even applause from the Cratchett table after it's done (even though it's for a reason completely unrelated).
