Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: Udo's absence from the reunion was initially taken quite poorly until the first tracks with Tornillo were actually released, which provoked a complete 180 in fan reception and raised expectations for the full album. Once the album actually came out, pretty much everyone agreed that their expectations were more than met.
  • Epic Riff: Like you would not believe.
  • Face of the Band: Even though he isn't in the band anymore, everybody still knows the ex-singer Udo and no one else from the band.
  • Fanon Discontinuity: Band decided to adopt more mainstream approach in the late 80's and the result was Eat the Heat. Fans were not amused and the band split up for a short time.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: "Wrong is Right" from Metal Heart is an anti-commercialization song. Then, in the late 80's....
  • Ho Yay: Cover of Balls to the Wall. Also some of the lyrics were accused of having these themes, due to them being written by Gaby "Deaffy" Hauke (now wife of the guitarist Wolf Hoffman).
  • Replacement Scrappy: David Reece and nowadays Mark Tornillo to some fans.
    • Tornillo haters are decidedly in the minority; the vast majority of fans have accepted him as a more than worthy successor to Udo.
