A Real Life sort of thing. This editor's younger brother, nine or ten years old, upon learning the basics of Einstein and his work, asked "Did they call him Einstein because he was so smart?" You can imagine the wonder following the realization of the depths of the man's genius as said brother learned it was the other way around.
Einstein and Meliva had an illegimate daughter Meliva named "Lieserl". Einstein wrote in a letter that "I love her so much and don't even know her yet!" and begs for a photograph or a drawn picture; without meeting his girl, he dotes and worries over Lieserl's welfare. Doubly heartwarming that Einstein had wanted and expected a son in the first place. A Downer Ending that it was indicated that Einstein never met his daughter. She may have died of scarlet fever or was given up for adoption.
