Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Allec Joshua Ibay is a YouTuber who mostly uses Microsoft Flight Simulator 9 to recreate plane-crashes using both clever planning and footage from Air Crash Investigation.

He has become quite well-known due to the amount of research he does and the accuracy of the simulations.

Tropes used in Allec Joshua Ibay include:
  • Alliterative Title: Due to using names from Air Crash Investigation, the same applies here, with some more added in.
  • Anachronism Stew: Due to using Microsoft Flight Simulator 9, various landmarks present in modern-day will not be present in the recreations.
    • Another example are airlines using then-present day logos.
    • Also in the "The South Tower Attack", the North Tower is intact despite being hit by a plane. Justified as adding smoke would require heavy modding.
  • Artistic License History: Mostly inverted, as he doesn't seem to forget anything about history.
    • All cases where this isn't inverted is mostly due to guessing. For example, we don't know why the First Officer left the cockpit of SilkAir Flight 185, due to the CVR being disabled by the captain. The most likely theory was due to the Captain telling the F/O about something in the cabin.
  • Early Installment Weirdness: His videos before around 2017 are recorded in 720p 16:9, while current videos are recorded in 1440p 2.35:1. The text was also much larger.
  • In Memoriam: Some of his videos (including Air Disaster videos) are dedicated to important people in the airline industry.
  • Irony: A surprising amount.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Many of his older videos have been taken down due to copyright, and only a few have been reuploaded.
  • Precision F-Strike: The last word heard on the CVR for Delta Airlines Flight 191 was one of the pilots saying "Shit!".
  • Reality Ensues: The hijackers of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 961 clearly didn't know what the hell they were doing, especially when they ran-out of fuel. It's no-wonder why they were among the people who died.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: Due to copyright issues over use of footage from Cineflix's Air Crash Investigation, various videos including his first two air disasters videos are no-longer available for watching.
  • Title Drop: In "I'm the Problem", passenger David Burke says this. Justified as that's actually part of the CVR transcript.
