You are a very angry old lady. As such, it falls upon YOU to punish all the sluts and delinquents and filthy rich and so on for the crime of existing. The way you go about this task is to beat them mercilessly with whatever weapons you get your hand on: Rolled up newspapers, fly-swatters, umbrellas, rubber chickens...

Oh, and while you are at it, take their money. You deserve the cash more than those filthy people do, especially considering how meager your pension is.

Tropes used in Angry Gran include:

Activist Fundamentalist Antics: Granny takes public displays of indecency very seriously. Also, being younger and prettier than her does qualify as being indecent enough for a good old-fashioned smackdown.
Alcohol Is Poison: Granny seem to think so - carrying a beer bottle is one of the many things that put you on her hit-list.
Aristocrats Are Evil: According to granny, that is. She's the one doing all the violence.
Bare Your Midriff: The young women granny beat the living daylights out of.
Laser Blade: The ultimate weapon in the game.
Magikarp Power: At first, all granny has to beat people up with is a rolled up newspaper. Moving up to umbrellas and fly-swatters isn't that much of an improvement... But if she gathers a million dollars, she can buy herself a Light Sabre.
Money Spider: Anyone - or anything - you beat up will give you cash.
Moral Guardian: Granny seem to be one.
Police Are Useless: The old lady beat up a kid and rob him. In plain daylight. With the police watching. But as long as you only hit the kind, the officer will not intervene. For him to spring into action, you need to beat on him, not just the citizens he's technically there to protect. Oh, and if you use a rubber chicken as your weapon of choice, he won't even react to that.
Racist Grandma: Averted - all of the characters are white. Thus...
- Being black or Asian is not one of Granny's many reasons for beating up strangers.
- Being white herself, her beating up white people can't be accused of being racism against white people either. Especially since there are no black or Asian characters for her to abstain from beating up... That would simply be discriminatory!
- Whether or not the game itself exclude non-white people is another matter entirely. As long as granny herself is above suspicion, all is well.
Sour Prudes: Granny sure love smacking up those sexy young women.
Teens Are Monsters: According to granny, that is. She's the one doing all the violence.
