From this site's Game Mod page: "Unfortunately, ROM hacks are probably the biggest offender of Sturgeon's Law. A few years ago, most ROM hacks consisted of adding tons of offensive and poorly drawn sprite edits like cursing on the walls, gobs of blood, pornography, and (for some odd reason) pro-KKK material." Nowadays, of course, romhacking has become prettied up and more respectable, and the (good) old days have been forgotten.
That's where badderhacks.net comes in. It started out as badhacks.net, and was created as a response to popular hacking site romhacking.net's rejection of the hack Fucker's Quest. (Their reasoning? It was incomplete, because Fucker turned back into Fester after the first level. However, other hacks, like this one, which just changes a title screen, gets a free pass... hypocrisy much?) Badhacks.net was intended to archive Fucker's Quest and its ilk, and eventually the hackers behind the hacks, such as Jomb (known for near-complete conversions in his hacks) and Pope Hentai (creator of a genre of romhacking that Jomb referred to as "lame fucking ROMhacks centered around Wilford Brimley" in his History of ROMhacking) and started making their own hacks.
In late 2009, the former webmaster, Dimi Glivver, left the site, and it vanished, returning as badderhacks.net on April 20, 2010.
The site has a small, but fiercely loyal userbase. So, if hacks like Naked Headless Mario Fights the Dick Nazis, The Legend of Zelda: Link Gets Laid, and Pussy City Pimps appeal to you, check the site out.

- Department of Redundancy Department: Fucker's Quest is credited to the "Ass Rape Corporation of Rapists".
- Face Heel Turn: Hitler's severed cock seems to be doing this in the Naked Headless Mario series. He's a playable character in NHMFTDN 2, but seems to be the main villain in Naked Headless Mario Fights the Dick Nazis 64.
- Fan Disservice: All over the place, especially in Abnormal Family and Donner Party.
