  • Fridge Brilliance: In the first movie, Barbie in the Nutcracker, Pragmatic Adaptation turns the "Marie" of the original story into a "Clara" the name of her doll. But this actually works in the new adaptation, since what else is Barbie but a doll? It makes perfect sense for her to be given Marie's doll's name from The Nutcracker, and since The Nutcracker himself is a "doll" of sorts, for him and "Barbie" Clara to end up together segues perfectly into the preexisting storyline of ETA Hoffmann.
    • Actually, Clara's the name usually given to the lead of the ballet, probably because the backstory's usually excised.
