• And the Fandom Rejoiced: A low-profile new title like this getting a collected edition was kinda expected, but said collection being a hardcover? And at the same price as a trade paperback? Cue rejoicing.
  • And even moreso when both of the comic's creators were at New York Comic-Con/Anime Festival 2011, with the hardcover collection for sale!
• Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: At the end of the crossover with Hellboy, the main characters crowd Red and lick his face. It's adorable!
• Nausea Fuel: The frog creature.
• Nightmare Fuel: Many examples, but first and foremost are the ghost puppies. Doesn't sound scary? Oh, you have no idea how wrong you are...
• Spiritual Successor: To Bunnicula, but for an older audience.
• Tear Jerker: Are you an animal lover? Chances are very good you will want to hug your pets after reading one issue. Especially the ghost puppies story.
• They Also Did: You might remember Jill Thompson from her work illustrating Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, as well as writing/drawing the Sandman manga Death: At Death's Door, The Little Endless Storybook, or Scary Godmother. Evan Dorkin has done some work on The Goon.
