Better Days (Porn)

Before Jay Naylor created the Furry Comic webcomic Better Days, he did a number of pornographic comics and (sometimes non-pornographic) other drawings. Some of these early comics and drawings served as the basis for his Web Comic. After he started the web comic, however, he continued to write and draw pornography featuring characters from the Better Days universe, and these pretty much paid for the site, but also set up new storylines featuring characters and situations from the pornfolios.

Tropes used in Better Days (Porn) include:

Art Shift - Much like the main comic series, he switched to a more "cartoony" style from his original.
Author Appeal - There are lots of shots of womens' derrieres, or of their tongues hanging out and eyes rolled up during sex.
Bi the Way - Or as close to the comic gets to portraying this trope. Flounce the mouse winds up hooking up with Persia after fighting with his boyfriend. Word of God says he's bi, and later pornfolios show her indulging in his submissive fantasies and even engaging in a threesome with one of his former boyfriends.
- A more recent comic shows that Mike, Flounce's old boyfriend used to be straight, but had a dominatrix poodle "train" him into becoming an effeminate bisexual. There's a little overlap with But Not Too Gay, since it would be extremely easy to confuse Mike with a small-chested woman until you saw his penis.
Bleached Underpants - Some of Naylor's porn comics found their way into the comic proper, in toned-down form. Not to mention the dubious origins of Fisk and Lucy themselves. Examples:
- Passion - The setup to the pornfolio's content (Lucy finding and watching Aron and Beth having sex) was also delivered in Better Days, but the sex was left out.
- Puss 'N Boots - The guy Beth hooks up with in this folio makes some brief appearances in Better Days before he ends up dumping her because of her polyamorous ways.
- Wicked Affairs - The second folio going by this name deals with Elizabeth sleeping with Fisk extramaritally (the first, which was done several years prior, has Elizabeth simply considering the affair); this affair is a plot point in the next-to-last chapter, as Elizabeth ends her marriage with the husband - who had been cheating on her - and ends up marrying Fisk.
Brother-Sister Incest - Fisk and Lucy. Occurs again in Cruel and Unusual, with a maid and her crossdressing brother.
Corrupt Church - With the exception of Amy, the comic and associated folios never depicted a holy person present for more than a single panel as anything but degenerate perverts, in line with Ayn Rand's atheist views.
- Rachael's Confession hit this point twice -- first with Rachael providing oral services to a visiting African priest during what appears to be Eucharist, then working up the poor priest she's confessing to that he provides his enormous phallus through the window. Apparently men of the cloth just really want to get out of it.
Gag Penis - Marvin Lipschitz, who is apparently very well hung. (His censored penis sort-of delivers an Author Filibuster as the climax of one storyline; the uncensored page is on Naylor's sketchblog.)
Male-to-Female Universal Adaptor: Sometimes male organs are human-like, other times (mostly with equines and canines) they are anatomically close to the Real Life animals. Females, however, universally have human-like vaginas.
Netorare Genre: In Cruel and Unusual, combined with Brother-Sister Incest.
Really Gets Around - Rachel, Tommy's ex-girlfriend, played completely straight. Her first sexual encounter was with her cousin, and it just gets worse from there; after she discovers the joy of sex, she ends up doing it with pretty much any man she can get to drop their pants (except for Tommy, her boyfriend prior to Lucy stealing him away). In one of the pornfolios dedicated to her, it's shown that even her marriage is a sham: on her wedding night, she has sex with her husband's brother (in front of said husband, no less) just to get pregnant with the children her in-laws are expecting. (And then it's shown that the brothers are actually lovers, themselves.) Is it any wonder that she's implied to be Looking for Love In All the Wrong Places?
- She's only shown up a couple of times, mainly in the pornfolio Breeding Bobbi, but don't forget Persia's mother Bobbi. She didn't want a husband but wanted a child...so she seduced two guys from the house next door and had them knock her up. Persia's established as no slouch herself before meeting Flounce and settling down.
- In Those Small Town Rumours, Sissy Swanson is painted as a complete sexual deviant, enjoying the company of any man she can get whenever, where-ever, and how ever possible, despite her being married with children and a respected teacher. Bear in mind this is her first appearance.
- Beth isn't necessarily a slut, but she doesn't like to be tied down to one man, either.
