  • Ryld Argith of Forgotten Realms has a (otherwise normal) Absurdly Sharp Blade that can cut through enchantments!
    • You call that sharp? Skycleaver, the axe wielded by Annam the All-Father (chief god of the giants) can not only cut through enchantments, it can cut through concepts. For example, Annam could sever a curse from a creature (which would cure it of the curse), separate fiction from reality (making a fictional character real), separate bad memories from someone to make him forget them, or even cut right to the heart of a problem in order to solve it instantly. While all that seems ridiculous, Annam is not only a greater god, but regarded as powerful even when compared to other greater gods, so he can do things most would view as impossible.

Every so often, something crops up in anime which is just, well, excessive. Planet-sized battle fortresses, galaxy-destroying beam cannons, machines that can rend time and space... such things are pretty common in anime, actually.
