Big Finish Doctor Who/Recap/S1/E02 Blood of the Daleks Part Two/NEDA

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

With Lucie captured by the Daleks, she's forced to broadcast a description of the Doctor so he can be found. A giant ponce with stupid hippie hair and a ridiculous coat, about the same age as her dad, she comments.

Martez turns out to have been making Daleks out of humans. These new Daleks quickly go into existential crisis and start a war with the regular ones. Since the regular ones are weak and on the verge of dying, they needed the help of the humans, which explains their unusual guile.

The human Daleks quickly dispose of Martez, who actually manages to be surprised at that. The Doctor decides to side with the human Daleks if it helps kill the regular ones. An all-out war begins, in which Tom Cardwell's plan turns out to have consisted of just killing everything. The Doctor tells him he's happy that was part of the plan, because he'd really hate to think that anyone would do something that monumentally stupid by accident.

With the Daleks eventually vanquised (and with some liberal Angst from the Doctor when the Daleks remind him of his own past), the president takes responsibility for her actions. She promises not to be so trusting of helpful aliens in the future.

Lucie seems to have a connection to the Time Lords, and she can't remember a thing. The Time Lords have also helpfully put a shield around her home year before saddling the Doctor with her. He's got no other choice for now than to put up with her.

An assassin woman, the Headhunter, gets a call about Lucie and merrily goes out to kill her.

The survivors on Red Rocket Rising are soon again offered help... from Telos. Home of the Cybermen.
