Cat on a Hot Tin Roof/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Jerkass Woobie: Big Daddy.
    • Maggie counts too (at least in the play), since she brings most of her inner torment on herself, feels no guilt for having an affair and driving Skipper to suicide, facilitates the family conflicts just aas much as Mae does, and at the end of the play rapes her husband by taking advantage of his alcoholism (and her lines imply that she has no intention of having him get better). And yet the play goes out of its way to try and make her sympathetic to us too.
  • The Woobie: Maggie. Hopelessly in love with a man who loathes her, and tormented because of it.
