Infinite loop of subcategories

As I type this, Category:Anime Reality is a subtrope of Category:Hollywood Style‎. The problem is that Category:Hollywood Style‎ is a subtrope of Category:Anime Reality. This puts Hotcat into an infinite loop, and thus must be fixed somehow.

Should the two categories be connected this way? The USA is not Japan, and vice versa, after all.

If they should be connected, which one should be the subtrope?

Not sure, do we really need a separate Trope for both?

If so, I'd say not to include Hollywood Style within Anime Style and vice versa.

Looney Toons (talkcontribs)

It seems to me that Henery has the right of it. While we're using "Hollywood" here in our usual sense of "This is what movie makers do", the differences between American movie making and the anime aesthetic and production process are so significant that it seems ridiculous to class one as part of the other, least of all in a recursive loop. Take Hollywood Style off Anime Reality and vice versa.

GentlemensDame883 (talkcontribs)

Some kind of "style stereotypes" supercategory to tuck both under, while removing the loop, seems to be the best way of dealing with this to me.

Umbire the Phantom (talkcontribs)

Hard agree with Dame here.

Looks like we have consensus. Thank you, everyone.
