I don't think sub pages having images is nearly as important as main pages. To the point I consider subpages getting tagged as drawing attention away from main pages when someone looks at the category list. Should we get rid of all tagging of this category on subpages?

They're harder to get, but the nature of Pages Needing Images is a bit subjective, in a sense all pages need images, because we're a visual-textural environment.

I think it's less about what deserves is as opposed to is it possible that there is an image that we can find that fits it. Which is a bigger problem with sub-pages.

I was thinking stuff like Adorkable/Web Comics isn't all that necessary because we have an image on the main page for that article.

As for the hard to get images, in general it's hard to get images for which sound is a very important factor (e.g. Hell Is That Noise). It is (in some cases at least) possible, as demonstrated by Ear Worm. Should we get rid of the tags on sound tropes?

Example images aren't that difficult to get, are they? If we're listing "this trope appeared in installment x of work y", we can use "installment x of work y" as a source for the requested image when the work is a visual one - film, live-action TV, anime, western animation, and so on. If we can't, should the example be on the subpage at all? (rhetorical question)

Taking the tag off of pages for audio-based tropes would be a good idea, though.

Unless we want to take on the task of doing what Wikipedia has done sometimes with audio, we probably should remove a requirement for audio-based tropes to have images.

If we were a much bigger wiki, I would likely say that we look into doing an "audio clips needed" category, but we have enough shit as it is to deal with with only a few dozen users.
