• Chariots of Fire has two Moments of Awesome. The most remembered is the intro with the running-along-the-beach scene.
  • Shown again at the end, to a choir singing "Jerusalem." It is powerful.
  • But one of the best is where Eric Liddell is knocked down by another runner, and the pack leaves him far behind. Eric gets up, runs after everyone else and wins the race-and then collapses in exhaustion.
    • And no, it's not a marathon, or a half-marathon, or even a mile - it's a four hundred yard sprint. The character is simply that fast.
