  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: The announcement that Jericho would finally get a proper DVD set in 2010 (officially titled "Breaking the Code: Behind the Walls of Chris Jericho").
    • His "Second Coming" in 2007, even though many people had already guessed that the mysterious "savior" was Jericho.
    • His stint as a Dancing With the Stars contestant . Now men won't have to feel so awkward watching the show.
  • Complete Monster: Kayfabe. His run since returning in early 2012 has portrayed him as this. See his second Moral Event Horizon entry and beyond.
  • Crosses the Line Twice: Bringing up Punk's father and his alcoholism was one thing, but swerving an apology into a shot at Punk's sister and her drug addictions? Pissed Punk off enough to nearly break the WWE censor with a Atomic F-Bomb.
  • Dork Age: His early WCW "white-meat" babyface run. His reign as Undisputed Champion is something of one too, looking so weak he was barely able to beat midcarders and taking a backseat to Triple H & Stephanie McMahon's bulldog Lucy in the build-up to the Wrestlemania main event WWF Championship match.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: It helps that Jericho is one of the few wrestlers who can successfully play both an entertaining Hero and Villain. Not to mention his incredible in ring skills.
  • Evil Is Cool: Loves being a heel...
  • Harsher in Hindsight: While Chris's inability to remember Santino Marella's name is still hilarious, watching that promo after the Penn State sex-abuse trials will make you wince at Chris calling Santino "Sandusky".
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: This comedic segment from the 2000 "Break the Walls Down" video shows Jericho in a suit talking about cutting the comedy and taking things serious, a Hilarious in Hindsight moment considering his character would evolve into that for real in 2008.
  • Memetic Mutation: ARMBAR!
    • Not to mention, "....all these hypocrites!"
    • And perhaps his greatest contribution to the English language - "assclown".
  • The Messiah: Pretty much his entire gimmick.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Punching Shawn Michaels' wife, former Nitro Girl "Whisper" Rebecca during his 2008 feud with HBK. Not so much the act (which was actually intended to hit Shawn instead) but the fact that afterwards he showed no remorse and actually seemed proud of it.
    • He crossed it again in his feud with CM Punk, where suddenly, out of nowhere, he brings up Punk's father being an alcoholic - then follows that up next week with saying his sister was a drug addict...not to mention his insinuation that Punk's sister slept around in order to get the drugs to feed her addiction. He even calls Punk a Heroic Bastard.
    • And then came the night after Wrestlemania. After CM Punk was forced to defend his title against Mark Henry with an injured back which ended in a countout, Chris Jericho went to mock Punk, now writhing in pain. What does Jericho do to a defenseless, straight edge champion? Pour a bottle of Jack Daniels over his head and smash another bottle over his head while propclaiming that he will turn Punk into a drunk.
    • And in the week after, he's back again, and this time he's pouring cans of beer.
  • Never Live It Down: His kicking of the Brazilian flag in a Sao Paulo show looks like it follow him for the rest of his career. He was almost arrested on the spot for the incident (and avoided jail time because the police gave him a chance to give a mid-match apology to the crowd) and received a 30-day suspension.
  • Vindicated by History: On paper, Jericho's reign as Undisputed Champion looks a lot better a decade after the fact, as the details of his feuds are forgotten by the younger generations of fans on only the facts that he held the Championship the longest and went over both The Rock and Steve Austin are remembered.
