Christina Maria Aguilera was born on December 18th, in 1980. A former member of The Mickey Mouse Club revival, Christina Aguilera started her music career as a generic bubblegum pop singer, then started taking off her clothes when sales waned. After that, she started embracing a neo-Burlesque persona, by which time she finally found a lyrical constant. With the 2010 release of "Not Myself Tonight", she seemed to be embracing the "Dirrty" persona once again. However, the new look and sound received a massive Creator Backlash / Hype Backlash and low album sales followed it. In wake of the backlash, Christina is preparing a new album reminiscent of Stripped. She also starred alongside Cher in the 2010 film Burlesque.

Has worked with: Maroon 5, Nelly, Herbie Hancock, T.I., Diddy, Nicki Minaj, The Rolling Stones P!nk, Ricky Martin, MYA and Missy Elliot to date. Shis is because she fills out the spaces between her albums with collaborations and group projects.

Her number one hits include: Moves Like Jagger(2011) (With Maroon 5), Lady Marmalade (2001) (With a variety of contemporary female artists), Come On Over (2000), What A Girl Wants (1999), the ever youthful, Genie In a Bottle (1999).

Even before then, Aguilera was largely considered the best vocalist of the late 1990s girl pop singer group that included Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson and Mandy Moore.

  • All Women Are Lustful: Is outspoken about her sexuality (See below), The Bionic and Stripped albums, and within Back To Basics: Nasty Naughty Boy and I Got Trouble prove it. This is one of her selling points, all women are lustful and liberated by her sexy stage show and other antics.
  • Bad Girl Song: "Dirrty" and "Still Dirrty"
  • Be Yourself: "The Voice Within", "Hello", "I Will Be" and "Reflection"
  • Break Up Song: "Impossible", "Underappreciated", "You Lost Me", "I Hate Boys", "Walk Away", "Fighter", "Cruz"
  • Creator Breakdown: I'm OK and Oh Mother are about the abuse she witnessed as a very young child. She has also admitted to suffering depression partially due to this experience. This shows in the songs Understand, Mercy On Me, The Right Man and the greater Stripped album.

  • Ascended Fanboy: Worked with Madonna live and was one of Etta James favourite singers. Being picked to sing so at her funeral.
  • Cover Version: As a musician she loves to cover is "At Last" in dedicating to Etta James.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: As a judge on "The Voice," critics have noted that she's much friendlier than they thought.
  • Dream Team: Her tour with Justin Timberlake was rather special.

  • Follow the Leader / Always Someone Better: When she began her singing career, Christina was marketed the same way as Britney Spears to follow the teen-pop trend, from about 1999 to 2002. Lately, Aguilera has been accused of copying Lady Gaga and has been sounding more like her. She's been known due to her rather long breaks between records to get left behind and play second fiddle to Britney Spears as far as listing in popularity stakes go.
  • Good Bad Girl: As she concerns herself with the Madonna-Whore Complex in her music, she herself is a good bad girl who has sex and loves it.
  • Hollywood Pudgy: A tabloid article on Christina claimed that she has spun out of control since separating from her husband with her weight supposedly ballooning from a size 2 to a size 8. That's right. A size that is not only slim, but STILL almost half the size of the average American woman is seen as "ballooning", and worthy of such snarky advice as "it's time to put down the fried chicken and get on the treadmill". E!'s "Fashion Police", features a panel of four snarky fashion judges (including Joan Rivers and longtime rival Kelly Osbourne) who repeatedly slam Aguilera for her weight and fashion choices. Even worse, this is seen as the worst indicator of her downward spiral, as compared to say, her arrest for public intoxication.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: She's considered by some to be a bitch, but she does put a lot of work into philanthropy and does value the people who have supported her career. Also works for the World Food Program.
  • Kids Are Cruel: Aguilera was bullied as a child (tire slashing, spray-painting her home) due to jealousy over her musical accomplishments/personality clashes.

    • Let's not forget P!nk, who even tried to invoke Snacky's Law on her to make herself look better.
    • Now, at least one article has said that part of her initial success was based on being the "edgy" singer when compared to Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, P!nk and Mandy Moore. Now, she still tried to be "edgy," like in "Not Myself Tonight," but now she's competing with Lady Gaga and Ke$ha, and it isn't working as well. Her last album Bionic was met with average to cold reviews and an almost entirely cold reception by the general public, so they might have been right.
    • Unknown Rival: Kelly Osbourne, at one point. Christina never really took her seriously.
    • She is an Unknown Rival to both Britney Spears and Lady Gaga who ignore her negative comments about them to their benefit.
    • The (one-sided) rivalry's have been halted as she has recently wished Britney a happy birthday on Twitter. Which should put to rest any myth about a rivalry between them. She also spoke kindly about Lady Gaga in an interview last year. Which shows personal growth for Christina.
