• Cross-Dressing Voices: Very much averted, even though most of the boys are about 10 to 12.

  • Also somewhat worth mentioning is Rachael MacFarlane, who plays Numbuh 362 a.k.a. Rachel.
• Dawson Casting: It's safe to say that ironically enough, no one voicing the kids are actual children.
• Executive Meddling: A positive example: The 2x4 technology came about when Cartoon Network asked the originally high-tech gadgets the team used to be changed since Dexter's Laboratory already did the same thing. Creator Tom Warburton later stated that it became his favorite thing about the show.
• Fake Brit: And other nationalities...
  • Numbuh One: voiced by Ben Diskin, who, by the way, also voices Numbuh Two.
  • Also, a Fake Aussie -- Numbuh Four, voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.
  • Fake Scottish/Irish -- Numbuh 86, voiced by Jennifer Hale.
• Hey, It's That Voice!: Try associating the voices from this show with other cartoons. Your head will surely EXPLODE.
  • Before becoming a ROOT ninja, Sai was bald and had a British accent.
  • Kuki is voiced by Lauren Tom, who plays Amy and her mom, Inez, on Futurama, Tasumi on The Replacements, Connie (Kahn, Jr.) and her mom, Minh, on King of the Hill. And in continuing with being vocally typecast as an Asian girl and her mother in cartoons, Tom plays both Kuki Sanban and her mother, Genki in this series. Numbuh 3 is also Jinx. Mushi gets to play her in Jinx's last episode. In fact, one of the only young, popular characters she voices that doesn't fit into the Asian Airhead trope in some manner is Kahn "Connie" Souphanousinphone, Jr. from King of the Hill.
  • Numbuh Four is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker in one of the rare times that Baker isn't voicing an animal (Klaus the goldfish from American Dad), doing announcer work on a game show, or doing animal vocal effects. He's also voiced the Gravemind.
    • But wait! In Germany, Numbuh 4 is another American Dad character: Steve Smith.
  • Numbuh 86 and the computer is Bastila, female Shepard and Samus. This proves the Multiverse theory true.
  • Cree Lincoln is Penny in the 1980s Inspector Gadget cartoon, Susie in Rugrats and Max in Batman Beyond, which is arguably even more of a mindscrew.
  • Numbuh Five's father has a voice that is a caricature of Bill Cosby, with all of his speech patterns. The voice of Dr. Lincoln is Kevin Michael Richardson. Numbuh Five's voice actress, Cree Summer, is connected to Bill Cosby by the Spin-Off show A Different World.
  • I'm surprised that Maurice didn't start using a sonic cannon.
  • Not to mention that in "Operation: W.H.I.T.E.H.O.U.S.E.," Numbuh One's future son is Greg Cipes, a.k.a. Beast Boy!
  • Stickybeard is voiced by none other but Mark Hamill.
  • Numbuh 362 is Rachael MacFarlane.
  • Mushi, along with many other extras, is voiced by modern voice legend Tara Strong.
  • Numbuh 1's dad is Frank Welker, the first and current Megatron.
  • Lizzie is Grey DeLisle; you may recognize her as Tootie on The Fairly OddParents, Frankie from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Daphne from the Scooby Doo movies and some of the series, and Mandy from The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, among others.
  • Count Spankula is Cosmo.
  • Hello? Maurice LaMarche as Father?
  • In "Operation: C.H.A.D.", Mega Mom and Destructo Dad has the same VAs as Dexter's parents on Dexter's Laboratory.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: It's been released on DVD a few times, a couple of random "Best of" DVD's, but never in box-sets or a complete season.
• Loads and Loads of Roles: Once you start noticing the nuances, Cree Summer, Dee Bradley Baker, Tom Kenny, and Jennifer Hale are everywhere.
• Talking to Himself
  • Happens more than often for Numbuh 4, as Dee Bradley Baker voices dozens of other extra roles, including villains (notably the Toilenator), operatives, and background characters.
  • Numbuh One and Numbuh Two. Both are voiced by Ben Diskin.
  • Cree Summer voices both Abigail and her sister Cree.
  • The Delightful Children from Down the Lane's voice actors are three of the Sector V voice actors.
• What Could Have Been
  • Numbuh Three was originally only going to speak Japanese with an occasional English subtitle, while Numbuh Five originally was supposed to be The Voiceless. Since this would have made both the girl characters with no speaking lines, both ideas were scrapped.
  • "Operation: S.P.A.N.K.E.N.S.T.E.I.N." was originally a thirty-minute Thanksgiving special.
  • Also, Lizzie's original character design was changed before her debut episode was made. Apparently her old appearance was too ugly for the execs.
  • One episode, "Operation: T.R.E.E.S.", an episode-long Shout-Out to Dr. Seuss and specifically to The Lorax, was axed early in its production, due to it running right on the heels of the movie of Horton Hears a Who!. Also, the producers had tried to get approval from Theodore Geisel's estate, but they declined.
  • "Operation: H.A.I.R.C.U.T." was a planned episode showing flashbacks of Numbuh One before he lost his hair; this was scrapped, but it seems a lot of the content was recycled into "Operation: D.A.D.D.Y."
  • Mr. Warburten claimed there would eventually be an episode explaining why many villains in season 1 were Little Bit Beastly (like Mr. Wink and Mr. Fibb having traits of an ox and walrus) but this was cancelled.
• Write What You Know: Mr. Warburten is known to be a big fan of X-Men comics, and this shows in episodes like "Operation: N.A.U.G.H.T.Y." and "Operation: S.A.F.E.T.Y."
