Cuanta Vida/Fridge

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Fridge Brilliance

  • Not my most brilliant Fridge Brilliance, but still kind of notable. So I introduced Cuanta Vida to my dad recently, and when he read this page, he told me he didn't quite get why the last panel was what it was -- a shot of Red and Sniper observing the Scouts bickering over who gets to help Bleu set up surveillance cameras. I hadn't thought much of it earlier, but wanting to give him a good answer, I thought it over a little. Then it hit me: that was the moment in which Red and Sniper both realized that the Scouts liiiike Bleu. And showing their reactions is a small reinforcement of their characters (Red, for one, is quite amused)! -- Gancena
  • The fact that Bleu is deathly afraid of fire makes perfect sense--he's a Spy, and Pyros are often used as "spy detectors" in the game proper.

Fridge Horror

  • If the game takes place in the 1980's, as opposed to the 1960's like the actual game is, it's entirely possible that the RED Medic from the video log and the old BLU Sniper who's camper van they find are indeed the same Sniper and Medic that you play as in the game itself. The revelation that the "crazy old Sniper" had presumably gone a bit nuts before he died, and that the Medic had died alone in a sealed room is actually quite chilling when you think about it.
