A wealthy American financier disappears on a treasure hunt in an antique blimp, which drifts toward Florida and crash lands, nearly claiming the lives of several witnesses - including our hero, Dirk Pitt. While investigating, Dirk makes a gruesome discovery: a crew of dead Soviet cosmonauts were onboard the wreck. From there, Dirk Pitt discovers that a covert group of U.S. industrialists have established a colony on the moon, and that the Russians plan to retaliate in Cuba—and only he can stop this international conspiracy!
