< Degrassi‎ | Recap‎ | S10

You have my heart
And we'll never be worlds apart
May be in magazines
But you'll still be my star
Baby cause in the dark
You can't see shiny cars
And that's when you need me there
With you I'll always share

A Plot

Clare is still reeling from her parents' news. And unfortunetely they have more bad news for her -- they're selling their house. Clare is shocked. She's losing everything she loves so quickly. Her parents reassure her that change is good, but Clare isn't ready to let go of the memories. She sees her dad's old watch, the one he used to help her tell time, in a box ready to be thrown out. She saves it from being trashed. At Degrassi, Clare tells Eli about the house being sold. Eli tells her the story of a kid who stayed in a house while his parents went back and forth. Clare thinks a cool idea and she gives Eli her father's watch. Eli goes to put it in his locker, and a whole ton of random crap falls out. Clare shrugs it off as him being messy as Eli obsessively sticks it back in his locker.

When Clare arrives home, as gives her parents the proposal of her staying in the house with her parents switching every week or so. Her parents dismiss the idea saying they need a fresh start. Clare gets so upset and yells that Darcy is gone and her parents are separting that the house is the only thing she has left. She leaves angrily to hang out with Eli.

Eli is with his parents at Little Miss Steaks. Clare arrives and introduces herself. His parents (which includes Bullfrog, the DJ from the Deadhand concert) are cool with her and ask her to sit down. They were just discussing bringing an infant Eli to his first concert -- Lollapolooza. Clare laughs and reveals the reason why she's there, namely she can't stand her parents right now. Bullfrog and Mrs. Bullfrog say she can crash at their place anytime, it's been awhile since Eli had a girl in his room. Eli is mortified and asks his parents to leave Clare and him alone for a moment. Clare is kinda surprised his parents would invite her over so quickly and Eli tells them they were kind to Julia, who had problems with her step-mom. Clare realizes that she and Eli are very different and is reminded of her own parents. She leaves the restaurant.

At the school's Friendship club, Clare raps about her parents. Her parents taught her so many things about relationships and sex...and now they're getting divorced. She wonders if they were always different. During Clare's monologue, Eli walks in. The club leader tells her Jesus is there for her. Clare asks if Jesus loves her, why is he making her go through this? The club leader tells her that it's all part of His plan for her which Eli scoffs at. Clare leaves the club meeting in tears. She's losing everything so quickly and even her faith. Eli reassures her that he'll always be there for her.

At home, Clare's parents are sorting through their belongs. Which each item, more memories come flooding out. Clare's mom tells her while looking at photos that she should've been more risky and maybe things would've turned out diffently. Clare has an epiphany. She rushes out the house and straight to Eli's doorstop -- she tells him she wants to spend the night. Eli tells her he doesn't have to do this but Clare insists. Eli tells her that this isn't who she is and Clare tells him she doesn't know who she is but she wants to be with him. Eli still doesn't want her in his room. Clare angrily takes her bike and rides off.

Drew convinces her to join the food drive, much to both of the brothers' delight. Drew tries putting all of his moves on Fiona but they're not working. When the day's preparations are done, Fiona is waiting outside for her taxi and Adam sits down and joins her. Adam tries to charm her and calls her a "princess." But she feels comfortable around Adam. She also mentions she has terrible taste in guys. Her taxi arrives and she leaves, but not before giving him a smile.

The next day, Drew is dressed and snazzy still trying to woo Fiona. Adam rolls his eyes at Drew's attempt, especially after what Fiona has told him. At The Dot, Drew is pulling out all the stops but Fiona is stonily ignoring his advances. Drew meets up with Adam later, still moping about Fiona.
