A Plot
Marco is organizing the school's huge blood drive and in typical Marco fashion, he's stressing out. But he's also planning to take extra course during the summer and graduate early in order to be with Dylan as soon as possible. At the blood drive, Marco's is setting things in motion and Caitlin Ryan is there, reporting live. Marco is excited to give blood, but a nurse from the blood management denies his request -- because Marco has had sex with another male. Marco is humiliated and angry at the discrimination and talks with Caitlin on putting the blood management nurse on the spot. He confronts the nurse on camera, and nurse says that there's an increase in risk for gay men for HIV/Aids. Mad and upset, he goes to go visit Dylan, and catches in bed with making out with another guy (Kamikaze Guy). Marco is angry, but Dylan doesn't want to break up with him. He just wants the relationship to be open. Marco is hesitant, but Craig convinces him to go to a college party Dylan's attending and plead his case.
At the party, Marco and Dylan are getting along great and Marco gets Dylan to watch Caitlin's report at the blood drive -- unfortunately his segment on HIV/Aids is cut. Marco is upset and he thinks the best way to get Dylan back is to make him jealous and he even hits on someone, but it doesn't make Dylan jealous, just makes Marco feel crappy. In the hallway on the stairs, Marco and Craig are talking and when Dylan spots him, he kisses Craig on the lips. Something Craig isn't happy about. Marco and Dylan talk afterwards -- Marco doesn't want Dylan to see other people and it's taking a toll on his psyche. Dylan isn't willing to give up his freedom, but Marco is more than willing to give him up. The next day, Marco meets with Caitlin who tells Marco his blood drive segment hit the cutting room floor thanks to Executive Meddling. Caitlin then invites Marco to do some volunteering over the summer with HIV/Aids groups in Africa and the Caribbean with Marco accepts.
B Plot
Spinner is having a pretty crappy time outside Degrassi. He's friendless and stuck at The Dot waiting on the lunch crowd. Jay is also there at The Dot, making his life miserable. He pleads with Hatzilakos to let him back in, but Hatzilakos isn't budging. She's offers summer school, but Spinner doesn't want to repeat Grade 11. Hatzilakos drops the offer. He meets up with Jay, and he plans some to make some trouble later on. They break in later that night and vandalize the place -- but Spinner finds that school's yearbook and is overcome with feelings for his lost friends. He plans on burning the yearbooks and plans on setting them on fire. Jay stops him from burning the books and puts some sense into his head. Spinner is upset and he just wants his former friends back. They clean up their vandalism and the next day Spinner makes an offer to try to get back in school next fall. Hatzilakos gives him a break and lets him attend summer school.
