Demon Master Chris

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.
A Demon And Her Human Pet

Demon Master Chris is a hentai visual novel with roleplaying game elements and a distinct Girls Love theme.

The story is simple. A girl named Chris who finds being a demon summoner more interesting than being an ordinary schoolgirl decides it would be a great idea to try and summon Overlord Levia (a demon FAR out of her league). Fortunately, Levia is highly amused at how far in over her head Chris got and decides to trap her in the demon world, giving her the chance to leave, but only if she can defeat her.

However, being in the demon world, Chris has nowhere to stay, but is taken in by a demon named Anna who has a thing for her, and Chris not only needs to do work for Anna, but she also has to get strong enough to take down Levia as well.

Tropes used in Demon Master Chris include:
  • Advice Backfire: If Chris captures the Slime twins, and goes to check on them in the bar, they're playing with Bel. Chris tells them to stop picking on the weak — so they decide to play with her instead.
  • Arbitrary Headcount Limit: Only three can fight at a time, with three others that can be rotated.
  • Anti-Frustration Features: The game knows level-grinding will be required. What do they do? Implement "Auto-Battles", to let the A.I. battle for you and make these situations less troublesome. To travel long distances in a straight line, there's even a double arrow for that, making travelling for grinding easy.
    • To make things even easier, so long as you're willing to pay attention to the Auto Battle, you can press the skip button, which skips all the battle scenes and goes to the end, cutting grinding time down even more.
  • Catgirl: Bael's true form is a cat girl. Chris also gains a similar form by wearing the Feline Ring. Unlike her werewolf transformation, which is permanent, this can be undone by simply removing the ring (later) or causing the transformed individual to climax once.
  • Call It Karma: The best given term for what happens when you capture a dark elf — the very same who raped Chris at the beginning of the game.
  • Captured Super Entity: Chris' Capture Magic can even capture Demon Overlord's if she is stronger than them. In fact, the main goal of the game is to turn Leviathan into her minion so she can get back home.
  • Cast Full of Gay/Everyone Is Gay: Chris outright questions if everyone in the demon world is a lesbian. Seeing as they all only seem to be females, the answer is a resounding yes. Even Chris can't be excluded from this; it can't be said she doesn't enjoy what happens to her.
  • Chainmail Bikini: Averted, with the actual bikini at least. It's described as 'weak in all areas'.
  • Clothing Damage: A plot and story element. Not only does Chris wind up getting her outfit ruined several times, certain outfits grant attacks that are only accessible when they are damaged. Capturing demons even requires their outfits be destroyed.
    • This game does it even worse (better?) than Senran Kagura. Clothing damage can be present in all battles, and it is required for Chris to strip a girl naked before capturing her. No matter how good she looks naked, however, it's advisable to keep Chris from getting stripped herself; her clothing has Ether woven into it, and walking will replenish her health.
  • Covered in Gunge: Several of the outfits are literally this.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Every character except Chris. And then even Chris is raped and cursed by a pack of wolfgirls, turning her into a werewolf permanently. She also gains a Werecat form when wearing her Feline Ring.
  • Fundamentally Female Cast: There is literally not a guy to be found in the game.
  • Girls Love: So prevalent Chris even wonders if every monster girl is a lesbian.
  • Guide Dang It: This game loves having hidden locations you cannot find easily without an online guide (the "Before The Palace" is made of this), or without capturing certain characters who will tell you where a location is (Valkyrie will give you a hidden location if you capture her).
  • Gotta Catch Em All: While you don't have to, it is more than likely you will want to capture one of every monster girl. Chris herself has no real interest in this, and actually thinks her powers make her seem like a rapist.
  • Heel Face Turn: Invoked on any demon Chris subjugates to her will. Notably is the Dark Elf who raped you at the beginning of the game; capture her and she apologizes for what she did.
  • Humans Are Bastards: According to Bael, Chris doesn't like humans, despite being a human herself. This leads many to assume she prefers demons; which her tsundereish denial all but confirms.
  • Horny Devils: This trope is "Demon Master Chris" summed up in two words.
  • Human Pet: Chris is, for all intent, Anna's pet. Given the dialogue of the Dark Elves who raped Chris earlier, keeping humans as pets is not uncommon (they simply didn't want to feed her and take care of her).
  • Insistent Terminology: Chris isn't a dog, she's a wolf!
  • Ironic Name: The game is called "Demon Master Chris", and, while this works in relation to her Capture magic, one must realise Chris spends the majority of the game with a demon who IS her Master.
  • Level Grinding: This will be necessary early on if you want to capture some demons like the Boss Slime or the Boss Sorcerer. As such, it can be seen as Forced Level Grinding.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: A captured succubus. Given that she was raped by one prior, Chris is understandably wary around the succubus she owns.
  • Made a Slave: What Anna effectively does to Chris, no matter how much she sugarcoats it with the word "pet". She's rather nice to Chris though. One also cannot argue that Chris' own Capture spell doesn't invoke this; she outright describes the spell as "forcing" a contract on demons who are weaker than her (stronger demons, like Bael, can willingly join her if they like her). This, naturally, leads to:
    • Happiness in Slavery: While a bit forced, the spell does force the demons to side with Chris, and they begin to call her "Master" and obviously seem rather happy with their situation.
  • One-Gender Race: All Demons appear to be female, and they all love having sex with other females. As to how they procreate, that's best left up to guessing.
  • Ordered Apology: A variation. The Dark Elf who raped Chris would obviously NOT have apologized had Chris not captured her and made her into her minion. Remember this is effectively Mind Control people.
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: Oh boy, where to start? Chris becomes a werewolf through rape, the effect can be negated temporarily, and she transforms not through the full moon but through excitement. Then there's the fact that even to begin with, traditional werewolves were wolves who took a humanoid shape. Chris is a werewolf who gains wolf ears, tails, and claws.
  • Rape As Comedy: If Chris captures a succubus, it leads to several conversations like these.
  • Sex Slave: One of Chris' duties as Anna's pet. This is also what happens to any human girl a monster girl takes a particular liking to.
  • Sustained Misunderstanding: If you capture the Reaper, you will later find out she believes Santa Claus is a female demon who appears wielding a Chainsaw on Christmas Night and stains her clothes red with the blood of her victims. Chris does nothing to correct her.
  • The Beastmaster: As the game name implies, Chris can capture demons and make them into her minions. This even applies to Demon Overlords. The catch? She has to be a higher level than them, and she has to strip them naked.
  • This Is My Human: How Anna introduces Chris to others.
  • True Final Boss: Overlord Levia at full power. Which actually unlocks a second true final boss, Astarte, who is even tougher.
  • Visual Pun: Chris is Anna's pet. Chris later becomes a werewolf after being raped by a pack of wolf girls. Anna doesn't hesitate to take notice that Chris is now a dog.
  • Wolf Man: Chris is raped by a pack of wolves at one point, and they curse her into permanently becoming a werewolf. While the effects are negated later, getting excited makes her ears and tail return, showing the effect is permanent and Chris is indeed a werewolf.
  • X Meets Y: Shin Megami Tensei meets Lightning Warrior Raidy.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: A battle against a Demon Overlord cannot be fled from.
