Desire Dungeon

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Desire Dungeon is a H-game released by developer Tower of Desire in 2012.

You're a travelling adventurer who, one day, hears a strange rumour in a tavern. A rumour about a dungeon that will grant all of your desires, should you manage to reach the bottom.

Intrigued, you search for and succeed in finding the dungeon. An entire town is built on top of it, populated by oddly-friendly townsfolk. You learn that the dungeon is inhabited by alluring monster girls who attack adventurers for their semen.

Tropes used in Desire Dungeon include:
  • Barrier Change Boss: Ouroboros has a barrier which makes her immune to all but one attack type (physical, magical, erotic). After you've managed to damage her a few times, she changes her vulnerability, also swapping the values of HP and MP for both her and you.
  • Blob Monster: Slime. She is too slow to attack normally, instead creating copies that trap anyone that attacks them.
  • Blow You Away: Fairy fights using wind magic, including Razor Wind.
  • Charm Person: Lilim has the Charm skill, which amounts to a One Hit KO. You need to use the Mirage skill to avoid it.
  • Chest Monster: Mimic, who randomly appears as the trap in a chest dropped by any monster. She is the manager of the dungeon's chests and punishes adventurers who aren't able to disarm them. For some reason, she's dressed as a Miko.
  • Counter Attack: The Counter skill causes you to parry the enemy's attack and unleash an attack of your own.
  • Cute Monster Girl: Of all shapes and sizes. They inhabit the dungeon and attack passing adventurers for their semen, which results in a level being drained. However, they let them go afterwards.
  • Dream Weaver: The Succubus has this power.
  • Dungeon Crawling: The focus of the game is exploring the eponymous dungeon. You randomly encounter enemies or other events as you move between floors, and the enemies naturally get tougher the deeper you go.
  • An Economy Is You: The only buildings in the town that you can visit are the inn, the shop, the temple and the bar.
  • Enemy Scan: Wild Sense, a passive ability learned from Werewolf, allows you to see the enemy's HP and MP (and also improves Thief skill).
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": The monster girls are all addressed by the name of whatever species they are.
  • Harping on About Harpies: Harpy, who has magical entrancing songs similar to a siren.
  • Hit Points: Interestingly, both HP and MP act as this. HP is depleted by physical and magical attacks, MP by erotic attacks.
  • Horny Devils: Lilim and Succubus.
  • Inexplicable Treasure Chest: All enemies drop loot in the form of a treasure chest, if beaten by normal attacks. Said chest always contains a trap which you must disarm to get at the contents.
  • Interspecies Romance: The various endings involve you hooking up with one of the monster girls. In fact, this is the actual purpose of the dungeon: to lure adventurers for monster girls to marry.
  • Lamia: Ouroboros, the final boss and protector of the dungeon. She has horns and small draconic wings in addition to a serpentine lower half.
  • Level Drain: Losing to any enemy causes them to rape you and drain one level.
  • Lighter and Softer: Compared to other rape-upon-loss monster girl games like Monster Girl Quest or Violated Hero. The monster girls don't kill you or keep you as a mind-broken sex slave, they let you go once they have their way with you. Furthermore, the dungeon is only accessible via a town whose inhabitants explain the dungeon's nature to visiting adventurers, so it's arguable whether it even counts as rape.
  • Lizard Folk: Dragon Newt, similar to the other monster girls, is human aside from her small horns and lizard tail.
  • Mana Meter: MP, representing willpower. It is consumed by using skills, as in other games, but it also gets depleted by erotic attacks.
  • Master of Unlocking: The player character grows into one. They can disarm trapped chests through a simple minigame involving inputting a random sequence of left and right mouse clicks. Success is affected by Thief skill, which can be raised using equipment or certain skills. Each level of Thief skill reveals one part of the sequence.
  • Mayfly-December Romance: Discussed in the Vampire ending. She asks if the player character would be willing to become an immortal like her. In the end, it's implied that he didn't accept but they lived a happy life together regardless.
  • Multiple Endings: Each of the monster girls in the game has their own ending, requiring that you beat her twice (using erotic attacks) and lose to her twice. The endings have a recurring theme of coexistence between humans and monsters.
    • Fairy: She accompanies you on your journey because it seems fun.
    • Werewolf: The two of you form a Battle Couple and become famous on various battlefields as selfless warriors fighting for justice.
    • Sorceror: She joins because (thanks to your help) she has done all the research she can in the dungeon. She uses her magic to create miracles for people around the world, with you by her side in a Sword and Sorcerer dynamic.
    • Fighter: The two of you join an order of knights and become particularly renowned members.
    • Dragon Newt: It turns out that she is the daughter of the Dragon King, making her the Dragon Princess. She wants to bring you home to meet her family, but her father has decreed that he won't let her marry anyone unless they can defeat him. Although you refuse at first, eventually you end up defeating the Dragon King and becoming the first human Dragon King, with Dragon Newt as the Dragon Queen.
    • Harpy: She wants to become a famous singer and asks for your help. You lead her to towns where her singing can be appreciated. Harpy succeeds in her goal, with all of her songs being about love between humans and monsters.
    • Slime: She joins simply because she wants food, but with her persistence she manages to win your heart. The two of you found Slime Kingdom, producing a lineage of slimes who are able to find men to marry.
    • Lilim: She's heard of a country to the east with ninjas, and wants to visit it together with you. The two of you go on a vacation/rampage through said country, fighting off ninjas.
    • Angel: She convinces you to become a missionary and preach coexistence between humans and monsters. You are so successful that you are considered a saint.
    • Vampire: Unlike the others, she meets you at night, for obvious reasons. She notes that eternal life is lonely, but it might be worthwhile with you at her side, and asks if you want to be immortal. The narration switches to telling a story of a vampire in a castle who kindly accepts visitors. It's rumoured that the vampire used to have a husband and that they had children together.
    • Succubus: She appears to you in a dream and proposes using her Dream Weaver powers to spread knowledge of the dungeon to more people. You decide to accept her proposal.
    • Mimic: After getting others to drag her chest out of the dungeon, she asks to join you. You end up carrying her around on your adventures, raising treasure yields in every dungeon you visit, thanks to her power.
    • Ouroboros: The two of you get married, and Ouroboros creates a new dungeon in the form of a tower. The new dungeon is even more successful than the old one, routinely producing human-monster couples.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: The monster girls cheerfully flout the basic laws of biology. Fighter and Dragon Newt are physical powerhouses despite being just as slender as the rest.
  • Non-Lethal KO: Every fight ends this way. If you defeat an enemy by conventional attacks, they run away. If you defeat them by erotic attacks, you have sex with them. If they defeat you, they rape you (draining a level) and then let you go.
  • One Hit KO:
    • The Muramasa Edge is a weapon that has a small chance of scaring the enemy into retreating, resulting in an instant victory.
    • Lilim can do this to you with her Charm skill.
  • Our Fairies Are Different: Fairy is the first and weakest enemy encountered. She's portrayed as an innocent Little Sister Heroine
  • Our Werewolves Are Different: Werewolf, who doesn't seem to transform between two shapes but instead is always part-wolf. She has some canine mannerisms such as scratching herself.
  • Our Vampires Are Different: Vampire drains life energy through her kiss, rather than blood. Like other monster girls in the game, she doesn't kill her victims.
  • Randomly Drops: All enemies drop a treasure chest if defeated by conventional attacks, and the contents of the chest are random.
  • Trauma Inn: And unlike the usual video game inn, this one is completely free!
  • Unskilled But Strong: Dragon Newt is physically powerful, but her lack of formal training means that her attacks are easily dodged.
  • Vendor Trash: After you obtain an item for the first time, any others you get become Vendor Trash and are automatically sold for gold at the shop.
  • Victor Gains Loser's Powers: Skills are learned by defeating enemies using erotic attacks, which causes them to teach you one of their skills.
