Cassandra: Woe to Troy!
Paris: It's too late to say 'whoa' to the horse.

The TARDIS and occupants arrive on the plains of Troy and bump into Achilles, who decides that the Doctor must be Zeus. Packed off to the Greek camp to meet Agamemnon and Odysseus, the Doctor admits he is in fact a mortal (albeit a clever one) and is given two days to come up with a way to capture Troy and end the decade-long war. Meanwhile Steven and Vicki have been captured by the Trojans, who are convinced that the latter has supernatural powers and give her two days to banish the Greeks. The TARDIS has also ended up in Troy, where it is thought to be a Greek temple and is to be burnt.

After unsuccessfully prompting Odysseus, the Doctor gives up and invents the wooden horse himself, while Vicki (calling herself Cressida) has inevitably fallen in love with Troilus. In the final battle, Steven is wounded and assisted to the TARDIS by Katarina, a handmaiden of Cassandra. Vicki stays behind with Troilus while the Doctor, Steven and Katarina leave in the TARDIS.

It has to be made plain that this is largely a comedy - though there's some Mood Whiplash come the end.
