Don't Meddle With My Daughter/Awesome

Props to the series creator for such great artwork, interesting story, and cool character designs. Kind of makes the Fanservice seem like icing on the cake.
The actual powers or 8 Wonders that give the heroines their hero name:
- 1st- Supersonic Flight - Capable of exceeding mach 20, she can even operate outside of Earth's atmosphere for short durations.
  - Athena can move fast enough to leave afterimages of herself. Clara can go EVEN FASTER than that, to where she can physically be in many places.
- 2nd- Super Strength - Able to lift over 40 tons, and capable of piercing metallic armor that's 100mm thick.
- 3rd- Super Senses - Hearing capable of picking up sounds from 10km away, and vision that can pierce through solid steel.
- 4th- Wonder Vision - Heat rays from the eyes capable of burning everything in the user's path.
- 5th- Bulletproof Body - Stronger than steel, smoooooooth as silk. Impervious to bullets, rays, and even able to withstand poison gas.
  - Seemingly they and the other goddesses age slowly thanks to this, and judging from how Athena turned out, very VERY gracefully.
- 6th- Mental Empathy - A light form of telepathy for communication with animals. While human minds are too complicated to read, it DOES allow one to detect minds and detect when someone is lying.
- 7th- Bio-Generator - Their bodies themselves are a power generator, capable of matching the power output of an entire city instantaneously.
- 8th- Time Travel/Oracle - When their body is exposed to even more incredible amounts of energy than normal, they are able to enter the time stream thus allowing them to travel through time, to the past or future.
- Amazing enough right? Except that those aren't even all of the powers available to them either, they have other powers that while not counted as wonders, ARE powers that are unique. For example: After the family is reunited completely, Clara discovers that she actually inherited her father's psychokinesis shooting ability, and also, as previously mentioned, Clara is capable of moving at speeds that are even faster than her mother who was capable of leaving after-images of herself from moving so fast. Clara is able to move so fast that it's as though she literally IS in more than one place at the same time physically.
- While considering it "awesome" might be a matter of perspective, Clara and Athena also have super libidos. That is to say, their sexual appetites (when awakened) far exceed that of normal people by insane levels. Hero or enemy, friend or foe, be VERY careful if you try anything funny with them.
Clara is a self-taught and mostly self-made hero. Athena never trained her, never told her about her powers, and wasn't even aware of her being a hero until after a year on-duty. Understand what this means: Athena is a "goddess" (not really a deity per say, but close enough), and they unlock special powers or "wonders" overtime with training. Those who unlock the first 7 are considered candidates for becoming queen of the goddesses. Athena and Zenovia were said to have unlocked the wonders at a faster rate than any before them, but they still had undergone training. Artemis supposedly only unlocked the first 6, and she claims that's her limit. But again, Clara did it with no training, no experience, no prior knowledge, AND she did it in (presumably) less than a year.
- A kind of strange/interesting fact about Clara's history is that when Athena was pregnant with Clara, like in the earliest stage of pregnancy, she (Athena) was captured by Heavy Metal, and repeatedly gang-raped by him and countless numbers of villains for an unclear amount of time. The strange/interesting part? Clara was able to survive all that abuse to Athena's body and not wind up a miscarriage. How? Because she, even as a zygote, was imbued with her mother's super powers that formed a barrier to protect herself. Talk about a born hero.
  - The fact that Athena endured all that crap and DIDN'T die or go insane.
  - As a matter of fact, that's not even all of Clara's powers either. In one of the sequels, it is revealed that Clara inherited her father's psychic bullet powers.
Athena is literally a super mom.
- Whether she fully knew it or not for the longest time, her actions as the original 8th Wonder were what inspired and guided her daughter Clara to becoming the super hero she is today.
The historical shout out to Lady Godiva, and Godiva Chocolates. For those of you that don't know. Basically Lady Godiva was from a village where the local Lord had been taxing the hell out of the peasants, so Godiva went to the lord and begged him to ease up. The lord said he'd do it if she rode through town naked. She did, and he kept his word. Godiva Chocolates (which are a real thing... tasty too) are chocolates that were named after her. The cool part is how this all comes into play in the story (twice!) in a surprisingly clever manner:
- First - When Athena is fighting Artemis, they start out fighting normal, but then Athena starts resorting to underhanded tricks like french kissing Artemis or turning her upside down and giving her oral sex. Artemis accuses her of being corrupted by the surface world, but then Athena tells her this story, and the lesson behind it is that Athena is willing to do whatever it would take, even become naked if it meant she could protect someone else. Artemis is very much affected by this.
- Second - During the Paparazzio ordeal, Clara is experiencing great pressure and is left uncertain whether she should surrender herself for the sake of the people, or not. At one point she's breaking down, nearly in tears, but she notices a small pack of Godiva chocolates that Athena had slipped into her bag for her. As she eats it, she recalls the story, and immediately realizes what she needed to do. She later calls her mother to thank her for the chocolates (and for helping her find the answer she needed).
The climax of the original 3-volume story is a no-holds-barred, all out war between Blowjob and N.U.D.E. Super heroes, villains, monsters, soldiers, giant robots, and even time travel!
- What's also cool is that before the release of it, they held a contest for fans to send in designs for both hero and villain characters used in the background, and there are a LOT of great designs!
In one of the follow-up H-manga MILF of STEEL, Athena finds herself in the clutches of Heavy Metal who is known to have previously been responsible for defeating her, kidnapping her, and then (along with countless other villains), gang-raping Athena. As he is seemingly raping her, he begins gloating about it and even claiming that he had not only taken her virginity 18 years ago, but that Clara was actually HIS child. Athena denies this, but he takes this to just mean it's true... That is, until Athena gets fed up, grabs him by his face and sets him straight. She tells him that her husband, BM the Shooter (aka Point Blank) was the one who claimed her virginity, AND that HE (BM the Shooter/Point Blank) was the one who impregnated her with Clara, BEFORE Heavy Metal and the other villains got her. Even elaborating that the way Clara survived was due to inheriting her mother's powers even as a fertilized egg was still strong. Athena then declares that although they managed to get the better of her 20 years ago (thanks to her being in shock), this time she would be able to fight back... Which she does... BY USING HER LEGS TO SQUEEZE HEAVY METAL SO HARD SHE SNAPS HIS SPINE!!!! After that, she just flies home to make breakfast for Clara as though nothing happened.
