There are a few funny moments in this book series.

  • When Sharptooth kidnaps Styra and takes her to the mainland Laramidia, he asks her where Dragonfly is. Styra responds by saying, "No! I will never tell you that Dragonfly is back at Cloud Island, at his nest, close to the river!". Of course, Styra didn't know that Dragonfly, along with his parents, Styra's parents, and Susie The Albertosaurus, were on the mainland, searching for Styra.
