  • The franchise itself was originally known as La guerre des étoiles (a literal translation) and is still occasionally referred to as such by French-speakers, though now the original title is more widely used. However, the translated title is also occasionally used to refer to A New Hope (Star Wars épisode IV: La guerre des étoiles)
