Eerie Cuties/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Alternate Character Interpretation: The Ninaganger. She was incapable of more than childish pranks and felt guilty the one time that wasn't the case. Channeling Nina's mentality is probably why. Considering Nina got a crush on Kade similarly to how the Ninaganger had and all.
    • And more than a few regarding Nina herself, as seen under Broken Base and The Scrappy. And that's not even getting into recent revelations that imply she might be the antichrist.
  • Broken Base: A minor variation, split down the middle: Those who see the Delacroix sisters as Vampire Jerk Sues and those that don't. Layla is obviously characterized as an intentional form of jerk, but Nina shows what happens when a Cloudcuckoolander never, ever sees any negative feedback for his or her actions.
    • Admittedly, some of this is spillover from another webcomic the same artist does. Said other webcomic features a Jerk Sue who never gets any significant comeuppance for her (repeated, horrific) actions, which is something fans of both webcomics see in both the Delacroix sisters.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Cerise is a very minor character who serves no other purpose other than being a member of Melissa's Girl Posse and to date has only had a couple of lines, and yet the fanbase absolutely loves her.
    • Probably because she's a redhead.
    • The fact that she was added to the list of characters that get a pinup if you order the upcoming print version...
    • They even get their own spin-off.
    • Tiffany counts as well, due to being a Large Ham and a ditz, not to mention, all the Les Yay between her and Layla. She became popular enough that she was given a bigger role in the Magick Chicks spin-off.
  • Fan Nickname: A large portion of the fandom insists on using the name "Grace" for Ace since he became a girl, even though he's never been called that in strip, or even been addressed with female pronouns.
  • Fetish Fuel: Nina in Layla's body. Just after having blood for this first time. In a Catgirl outfit. That shows off her belly button. Yum.
  • Foe Yay: Tiffany's plans to stake Layla more and more turn into excuses to meet Layla.
  • Fridge Horror: A major one. In the story arc parodying zombie movies, Chloe ends up getting pulled out the window by the horde of students. The horror kicks in when you realize they weren't infected with any actual zombie virus. They were infected with uncontrollable lust for Chloe. Yeah... maybe the attackers getting their souls eaten was better than the alternative.

Kade: (to Ace) Um... thanks dude. I think your butt is cutie-wootie-patootie too.

  • Les Yay: Chloe and Brooke, Layla and Tiffany, Brooke and Girl!Ace
    • Kinky indeed...
    • And now, Brooke and Layla, during the Slumber Party at least.
      • And this might as well be fanning the flames. At this rate between Layla and Kade being split, all the sexual tension they had the night of the slumber party, and the "kissing practice for blood" agreement Layla and Brooke might end up going through the same phase Maria went through with Chloe's mother.
    • A subtle Continuity Nod is made during the January 28th, 2011 installment to the Layla and Tiffany incident. While spying on Layla at the mall, Tiffany touches the place on her neck Layla had bit her.
    • Girl!Ace and Brooke was unfortunately Jossed at the start of the latest arc; Girl!Ace has discovered she's heterosexual no matter what body she's in, meaning she likes boys... for now, anyway.
  • Mary Sue: Arguably, Layla's sister, Nina, who is a ditzy Purity Sue who never faces any repercussions of her actions, ever, despite a good majority of the plot occurring as a result of her rather breathtaking bouts of stupidity (see The Scrappy below).
    • Make that Purity Sue, as she's just become a literal in-universe example. Nina's innocence is so pure, that it repelled Chloe's attempt to corrupt her; causing it to backfire, making Chloe sick to her stomach.
  • Moe: Supposedly, Chloe's entire family consists of more traditional Sexy Devil-types (though we've yet to see them), and she feels ashamed that she can't live up to traditional Succubi standards. Of course, as it is pointed out, she is appealing directly to a much...different aesthetic. Let us count the ways: she's clumsy, wears glasses, manages to attract male attention without really meaning or wanting to, and, of course, she has ridiculously large breasts.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The fate of Skittles, Brooke's old mouse. It must be seen to be believed.
    • In-Universe too, as most of the girls vote on Brooke sleeping in a different room after hearing the story.
  • The Scrappy: Nina is building up to this. The lack of any repercussion for her repeatedly immature actions, combined with the fact that about half the plot revolves around her stupidity or fallout from said stupidity, is starting to break the base. Case in point, the current storyarc as of this writing has the villains, a rival group of Alpha Bitches, using Nina as a sap to falsely(?) out her sister as a lesbian. Rather than use any form of higher brain functions to realize this may need to be discussed in private, she holds a rally in support of her sister's coming out... which came as a bit of a shock, given that she isn't gay.
    • Nina is less stupid than naive and sheltered, and she does generally learn a lesson from her behavior: she'll grow out of it. Well, hopefully.
    • Professor Twiggit, due to not caring about her students.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: Chloe after donning the Doom Panties.
  • Unfortunate Implications: "Waaaaaaaah! My sister likes to kiss girls!" Noted, she gets over it pretty quickly...
    • And let's be fair, knowing about homosexuality in the abstract as an adult is way different from realizing your sister is gay by walking in on her making out with another girl when you're an incredibly clueless fourteen year old.
