Eerie Queerie is a Boys Love manga created by Shiozu Shuri and published by Tokyopop in the US. The story involves Mitsuo Shiozu, who is a lonely high school student who happens to be psychic. Spirits 'use' his body and mind to communicate with the dead and to help the living. These ghostly apparitions use Mitsuo in order to put right things that were left undone in life, or to tie up ends that were left loose before they left the land of the living.

In the process, Mitsuo often finds that these 'visitations' change his own life in ways he could not predict.

Tropes used in Eerie Queerie include:

• Attempted Rape: Twice. Mikuni tries to rape Hasunuma but Mistuo stops him and Murasaki tries to rape Mitsuo.
• Attractive Bent Gender: Female Hasunuma was pretty gorgeous.
• Boys Love
• Captain Obvious: A meta-example as some of the author's notes as painfully obvious or repeating things already stated, such as reminding the audience that Niro's body has indeed been possessed by a goat.
• Driven to Suicide: Kanau and his lover formed a suicide pact.
• Heroic BSOD: Ichi has two of these. One at the end of "Boys At the Lakeside" where Hasunuma kisses Mitsuo to stop his hiccups, which temporarily turns his hair white, and one in volume four when Mitsuo declares his love for Mikuni and at the end is revealed to still be walking around with white hair and in complete shut down.

• I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: In volume four Mitsuo is tricked into thinking that confessing his feelings to Hasunuma would break him so he keeps it to himself.
• Last-Name Basis: No one seems to know Hasunuma's first name.
• Meido: The Sanjaya family has a whole army of them which Mitsuo becomes a part of for money (or at least that's what he thinks...)
• Oblivious to Love: Mitsuo is oblivious to Hasunuma's obvious feelings towards him. This is revealed to be the reason why (out of anger that he was oblivious) Kanau tried to kill Mitsuo.
• Only One Name: Throughout the series Hasunuma's first name is never mentioned and in the bonus comics at the end (when somebody asks what his name is) it gets bleeped.
• Stalker with a Crush: Played for laughs.
• Terrible Artist: Mitsuo's "art work".
• Tiny Guy, Huge Girl: At the end of the Valentine story Mitsuo goes on a date with Female Hasunuma so this is how it would have looked to everybody else.
• What Happened to the Mouse?: The two page hint of Mitsuo having something wrong with him at the end of volume two is never mentioned again.
