Ethical Slut/Quotes

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

It's foolish for society to impose the restriction of one man to the married woman. I'm not advocating sexual promiscuity but I think it's possible for a woman to have many kinds of sexual relationships with many men and that shouldn't affect the status of the marriage.

As a Jew, my take is this: if you are having sex with someone you love and care for, and you are careful not to hurt yourself or hurt them, either emotionally, physically, spiritually, then it is probably A-Ok with G-d the way I understand Him. Judaism has a long history of believing strongly in the value of sexual pleasure and in the value of our sensual bodies and their ability to feel pleasurable things. Go look up the concept of "onah" sometime in a Jewish encyclopedia if you are curious about how important this can be to Jewish history and Jewish law. So anyway i feel that "kosher" sex can be almost any sex if you are approaching it from a reverent, careful, loving and non-selfish standpoint.
Adultery as biblically was understood by the Hebrews to mean wrong for a married woman to have sex with another man since violated property rights. A man could marry at age 12. It was never understood to be wrong for a married man since his wife had no such rights. The married man could have as many wives (as long as women was at least age 13) and concubines (breeders) as he wished as long as "other women" were not married (another man's property). Certainly there is nothing wrong with by agreement between man and wife sharing sexually with others as in polyamory or swinging since no property or cheating issue. Nothing was ever wrong with singles sexuality. "Fornication" is a total mistranslation lie of Greek "pornea".
