Fallout 4/Awesome

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Not long into the game, Powered Armor makes an appearance, and compared to Fallout 3 and New Vegas, it becomes something to be awed again like in the classic games as you get a chance to stomp around Concord and minigun a bunch of raiders to death who will be doing Scratch Damage to you at best even on higher difficulties. A Deathclaw even shows up to make things more interesting, and despite the power boost on your side, it still has a fair chance of killing you.
  • Deacon knows a LOT about you and what you've been doing, to a very creepy extreme. Fridge Brilliance kicks in if you paid attention to various earlier scenes, where you can see in various disguises he's been watching over you the whole time.
  • Hancock makes quite the impression when you first meet him in Goodneighbor. Some thug is giving you a hard time and he reminds the guy he runs the town and he won't tolerate visitors getting shit on his watch. The goon is about to try defying him and Hancock shanks the guy before he can even try instead of taking anymore crap. He then apologizes for the trouble and welcomes you to the town, even snarking about your eyesight being good if you point out he just shanked someone in front of you.
  • The showdown with Kellogg is awesome for both sides, as the Sole Survivor shows off their Mama Bear/Papa Wolf Unstoppable Rage, and in hindsight is one for Kellogg, since you later discover via the Memory Den he was basically set up to be killed at your hands and instead of trying to avoid it, he instead decided to accept his fate as inevitable.
  • The Brotherhood of Steel make one hell of an entrance to the Commonwealth. As you leave Fort Hagen, you are greeted by the sight of a massive airship and horde of vertibirds flying overhead as the Brotherhood announce their intentions for the Commonwealth, and even the usually staid Nick Valentine (if present) will react with appropriate awe and dread.
