• Epileptic Trees: The Friend. The demon Challenger claims he was an illusion used to manipulate Ghost Rider, but who would believe, well, a demon? To this day people debate if he was an illusion, demon, agent of Heaven, another Hell-Lord trying to spoil Mephisto's plans, Angel, a normal (but maybe not quite sane) guy who just happened to be in the right place at the right time, or even Jesus Christ himself.
  • Word of God says that he was supposed to be Jesus Christ, but Executive Meddling made them change that.
• Squick/Gorn: The most recent series was filled with it, along with High Octane Nightmare Fuel. As was the miniseries Trail of Tears, with the High Octane Nightmare Fuel turned Up to Eleven. It featured a pair of outlaws that the Ghost Rider killed by smashing them together so hard they fused together. They came back as minions of Hell, still fused together.
