Go Go Sentai Boukenger/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

These things about Go Go Sentai Boukenger are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

  • Badass Decay: Eiji.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: The rollcall theme.
    • "Boukenger! Go on Fighting!".
    • Just have a go at Start Up! ~Kizuna [dead link] and decide yourself. Though it was rarely used, sadly.
    • Daibouken's theme, sung by the king of sentai robo themes, Takayuki Miyauchi.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Sakura is way up there along with Jasmine as one of the candidates of 'Hottest Sentai girl ever'. Most people would also agree about her being a fan favorite due to how different she is for Pink Rangers.
  • Family-Unfriendly Aesop: For Eiji: He's mixed-race (Human/Ashu), but that's okay, as long as he actively fights his racially undesirable side! This Aesop is especially strange since it was shown that his mother was kind-hearted which means Exclusively Evil should be averted, but alas...
  • Fan Nickname: Eijiyasha, for the particularly familiar fashion in which his half-Ashu form manifests itself. And Ryuuwon's obviously mixed-parentage human form earned him the nickname Enrique (last name Vallerte in the Gag Dub, referencing Carlos of Power Rangers Turbo and In Space.)
  • Fridge Brilliance: Natsuki/Bouken Yellow being a Lemurian Princess would look normal, unless you realize that back then in Dai Sentai Goggle Five, Lemuria is the civilization symbolized by Goggle Yellow.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Unless their numbers are being multiplied by special effects, you only seem to see a maximum of three Jaryuu on the screen at once, much like Land of the Lost, where you only saw three Sleestacks on camera at once because that's how many costumes they could afford.
  • Les Yay: Tell me nobody was thinking this in the sequence where Natsumi imagined she was Cinderella and Sakura was Prince Charming.
  • Magnificent Bastard: The Questers. When you can not only manipulate the three main evil factions to provide the materials for the ultimate lifeform, but also unleash a long-lost cousin to keep the Boukengers further occupied, you're pretty magnificent in your bastardry.
  • Memetic Mutation: Let's just say Masumi is better remembered by his crooked teeth than by his actions.
  • Tear Jerker: Episode 25.
