Green is the fourth novel (or Book Zero) of Ted Dekker's The Circle Series. It's possible to read this as a prequel, but lots of fans recommend that this book be read after the original trilogy—Black, Red and White—and The Paradise Novels.
Thomas Hunter suffers a head injury and wakes up in an alternate reality every time he goes to sleep. He realizes that a deadly virus, the Raison Strain, is about to be released in "our world", and that the forest is also in danger. The virus is released, causing massive casualties, and the tranquil forest in the "other world" is ravaged by evil.
A website was created leading up to it's release. With provides a lot of information on the series as a whole.
Tropes used in Green include:
- The Plague/The Virus
- Here We Go Again: Elyon agrees to let Tom go back in time and try to save his son, but without the memories of what happened.
