The series takes place in the Schneiderverse.

With the exception of Mr. Moore and his replacement, all the Adults Are Useless. There's the occasional Zany Scheme, or at least as close as can be gotten to one given the show's limited focus. The classroom computer's probably a Pear II, we just don't ever get a good look at the nameplate over the keyboard.

Dennis Bluden went on to create programming for the Schneiderverse equivalent of Nickelodeon.

It's just too beautiful not to be true.
