• Development Hell/Executive Meddling: Heroes of Might and Magic VI. And HOW.
• Fan Nickname: "Ubival" (Ubisoft and Nival, the publisher and developer of Heroes of Might and Magic V, respectively).
  • And now "Ubihole" from, you guessed it, Ubisoft and Black Hole.
• Name's the Same: The H3 Fortress should not to be confused with the Heroes of Might and Magic V faction with the same name, which is focused on the dwarves.
• Running the Asylum/Promoted Fanboy: Heroes of Might and Magic V was developed by Nival Interactive, a Russian company. The game's creators confessed having "grown up" on the franchise and being happy to leave their mark on its history.
  • Several well known fans are actually part of the development team on Heroes of Might and Magic VI.
• What Could Have Been: The "Forge" town in Heroes of Might and Magic III, and NWC's artwork for their version of Heroes of Might and Magic V (which was supposed to be made on the Heroes of Might and Magic IV engine, in isometry rather than 3D, before 3DO went bankrupt and Ubisoft and Nival started from scratch).
