  • Double Subverted: ... but when Gigawatton is plugged into a Meta Mecha or the Mecha Expansion Pack it becomes much bigger
  • Parodied: Gigawatton becomes so big that it cause universe to burst.

  • Lampshaded: "So, you drive giant robots eh?"
  • Invoked: The engineer is a huge fan of mecha anime and builds a humongous mecha to live out his dream of piloting one, regardless of how impractical it might be.
  • Defied: Gigawatton is sabotaged before it can even be used.
    • Building Gigawatton is found to be cost-ineffective and impractical and the project is scrapped.
  • Discussed: Oh, they look cool, but won't they tip over? And they're impossible to hide, unless you can get some honest-to-Gods, working Adaptive Camo. Really, the only thing they got going for them is that they can negotiate terrain better that wheeled or tracked vehicles. I say just stick some bug legs on a run-of-the-mill tank.
  • Conversed: "But they look so damn cool!" "You really are a dreamer if you think these metal giants are actually going somewhere! Spider tanks are the way of the future!" "But they look. So. Damn. COOL!" "The men can thank the Writer that I am the one who spends the budget, not you. And they should pray to the Artist that it stays that way; Less of them will die."
