From the opening cutscene, right after Ninja accidentally kills his master:

Ninja: *gasp* "Master... you're... dead...!"
Sensei: "Your grasp of the obvious astounds me..."

After an Ice Cream Koan too many:

Ninja: "Ooooh... NOW I understand! I was here... and thinking that YOU WERE AN IDIOT!"
"Sure. And like my old grandma once said: [unintelligible]. She was crazy too."
