Basic Trope: A Damsel in Distress is threatened with rape or sexual assault at the hands of the villain(s).

  • Straight: After being captured, Emperor Evulz approaches Princess Rachel and makes suggestive comments towards her, hinting that he has lascivious designs upon her.
  • Exaggerated: Evulz immediately jumps on and molests Princess Rachel when she's taken to him.
  • Downplayed: Evulz approaches and makes a rather snide comment about how pretty Rachel looks in the dress she's wearing.
  • Gender-flipped: Empress Dracona cheerfully comments how good Captain Nobleheart would look shirtless and chained to her bed.
  • Justified: That's why he kidnapped her in the first place.
  • Inverted: Aren't You Going to Ravish Me?
  • Subverted: Evulz seems to be behaving in a lascivious manner towards Rachel, but then admits that she's actually not his type.
    • Rachel is delighted at the idea of being ravished by Evulz and swiftly accepts to become his Dark Mistress.
  • Double Subverted: This, however, is merely to throw her off her guard; his intentions towards her turn out to be unwholesome after all.
  • Parodied: Evulz attempts to convey his unwholesome intentions towards Rachel to her; unfortunately, either (a) she's quite dense or (b) his technique sucks, resulting in a miscommunication and frustrating experience for both.
  • Zig Zagged: Evulz is a Holier Than Thou religious fanatic who, despite his sincerest efforts and pious preachings, is sexually attracted to Rachel. This means he is constantly battling with his sexual desires towards her and his beliefs, acting overly forward towards her one moment but repelled the next.
  • Averted: There's no threat of sexual assault or rape.
  • Enforced: The writers want to amplify the tension between Rachel and Evulz, and decide that adding a sexual component will do so. However, since Evulz is a character that Rachel would not realistically be attracted to, they decide that the more realistic approach is to make it one-sided and non-consensual in nature.
  • Lampshaded: "Did you just..." "...Lick your nape? I sure did and I do intend to do much more than this to that gorgeous body of yours..."
  • Invoked: Rachel is subtly using her body to manipulate Evulz into letting his guard down around her, in order to find a weakness she can exploit.
  • Exploited: Rachel has been deliberately taken prisoner in order to exploit Evulz' desire for her in order to distract him while the rest of the heroes concentrate on defeating him.
  • Defied: "Did you think I was seriously going to threaten your virtue, your highness? I might be many things, my lady, but even I would not stoop that low."
    • "No, I'm sorry, I'm afraid you're just not my type / I'm gay."
  • Discussed: "We must work quickly to rescue the princess; I don't trust Evulz's intentions towards her..."
  • Conversed: In discussing fantasy stories, Rachel and Bob remark on how traditional ideas of femininity, virtue and sex lead to an increased tendency for female characters to be threatened with rape upon capture in old works.
    • Or the writers remark on the DVD Commentary "Anyone else get S&M vibes from this scene?"
  • Played For Laughs: Evulz kidnaps Rachel and it's treated like a horribly mismatched date.
  • Played For Drama: Evulz rapes Rachel while she is his captive, and the resulting physical and psychological scars drastically affect her character both during the remainder of her captivity and upon her escape / rescue.
