    • Lily asks Frank what he's looking at when she catches him staring at her in a flattering evening gown:

  • Crowning Music of Funny: As Lily pulls away from her kiss with Frank at the piano, he begins playing "As Time Goes By" from Casablanca, recognizable for the unsung lyrics, "You must remember this -- a kiss is still a kiss."
  • Fridge Logic: Leary could probably have avoided his misstep at the bank if he had just said something like, "Well, I'm actually from outside the city". It is pretty common for people to name the closest recognizable city to where they're from. A quick-thinker like Leary probably could have improvised here, or done some research in advance just in case.
