  • And the IWC Rejoiced: Jim Ross finally returns to WWE Raw on 11/15/10, calling a Bryan Danielson match. Not only did he remind the rest of the world why he and Jerry Lawler were the commentary duo of the 90s to early 2000s, but he spent the first half of his night trashing Michael Cole's Yes-Man attitude towards the company and the second half completely disregarding his anti-Danielson rage-on.
    • Done again at Wrestlemania XXVII during the Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler. By the end of the match, every commentator but Lawler and Ross was either just in a match with the King or got a Stunner from Stone Cold Steve Austin. Guess who has to fill in for the rest of the night...
      • The biggest case of the IWC rejocing? JR PERMANENTLY returning to RAW starting from this week, thanks to Triple H!
      • Then Triple H was forced to step down resulting in his firing.
  • Dude, Not Funny: When Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara arrived in WCW, one of their creations was "Oklahoma", a paper-thin parody of Jim Ross, whose sole purpose was to mock JR - Russo and Ferrara considered JR's mannerisms, as well as his then-recent bout with Bell's Palsy, things that were okay to make fun of. For obvious reasons, everyone thought this was in bad taste, and "Oklahoma" was dropped in short order.
  • Memetic Mutation: FRUITY! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! FRUITY! FRUITY! BAH GAWD THEY'RE FRUITY! SKITTLES!
    • Pretty much anything "BAH GAWD [x]" has gotten a lot of mileage.
    • [Wrestler].....has picked up.....TWISTY ROCKETS!
  • Replacement Scrappy: Anyone who replaces Ross on the commentators' table is bound to get such a reaction.
    • Joey Styles is the only exception as he could be argued to be just as good as Ross (or, depending on the fan, better) - but he only lasted four months on the Raw announce team before JR was brought back.
    • Ironically, WWE wanted Styles to abandon his ..style to be more like JR. When that didn't pan out, they brought JR back. Again.
