Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • And There Was Much Rejoicing:
    • Bieber's character's death in CSI brought some real life rejoicing from the haters.
    • This is the (exaggerated) video that brought so much happiness. There's also a 10 hours version. Notice the amounts of likes and dislikes. Yeah, that's about what quite a few people want from him.
  • Career Ending Misdemeanor: Averted in the case of a teenage girl who claimed that he was the father of her baby.
  • Complaining About Music You Don't Listen To: A good portion of his Hate Dumb are guilty of this. Not to mention that most people wouldn't even know about the kid if people didn't rage about how bad he was.
  • Critical Backlash and Hype Backlash: Yes, he has both.
  • Ear Worm:
    • "Baby, Baby Baby ohhh..."
    • "I will never say never! I will fight till forever!"
    • "And when you're mine in the world, there's gonna be one less lonely girl!"
    • "I'mma tell you one time..."
  • Fan Dumb:
    • "Beliebers" have a habit of frequently ignoring anything else going on in the world besides him. This happens on and off the web, but is especially prevalent on Twitter where they had to change the algorithm for the trending topics because they just would not shut up about him even when major world events were going on.
    • His Twitter fans went after Esperanza Spalding after she won a Grammy for Best New Artist in 2011, a category Bieber was nominated in.
    • Then, there were the death threats to Selena Gomez...
  • Fan Haters: Who hate on the people who enjoy his music.
  • Fandom Rivalry: Justin Bieber fans vs. any other person who has made music ever. Mostly one sided though. Go to any music video on YouTube and he will more than likely be mentioned
  • Hate Dumb: Disliking his music is one thing, but many people seem to take their hatred of him to personal levels, wishing death on him.
  • It's Popular, Now It Sucks: He started out posting videos of him singing on YouTube...and people really liked him. Then he became mainstream...and the reverse happened.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • Fark doesn't know what the hell a Justin Bieber is, but apparently it's very popular.
    • YouTube commentators started (X) people are Bieber fans, where X=Number of dislikes.
    • Somewhat bizarrely, he is also the subject of a meme on YouTube videos about Call of Duty Black Ops, where he is listed amongst the three names from Alex Mason's Madness Mantra.
  • Misaimed Fandom: Justin Bieber's hair was a large part of his perceived image, but Bieber himself doesn't want people to obsess over it and focus on it more than his voice. That played a part in him changing his hair in 2011: and what do you know; many fans went crazy.
  • No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: The more people talk about how untalented he is, the more popular he becomes. Quite a few people wouldn't have heard of the guy if not for the hatred spilling all over YouTube.
  • Periphery Hatedom: And how!
  • Puppy Love: A lot of the videos look like this.
  • So Okay It's Average / Golden Mean Fallacy: Take the ones who think he's God's gift to music, even him out with the people who want him dead, and you have an okay artist.
  • Tastes Like Diabetes: His childish voice, together with songs about young love. Less so as the years progress.
  • Viewer Gender Confusion:
    • Given that when he was 17 years old his voice still hasn't changed, you could expect this to happen. Many people and fans, including Daniel Radcliffe, are very confused by his look and voice.

Daniel: I only heard Justin Bieber for the first time two weeks ago. I genuinely thought it was a woman singing.

    • Consider a popular meme that compares Bieber's photo to one of Elliot Page...
    • Then there's the "haircut" (that looks more like it's just brushed differently) that made him resemble Emma Watson (with her new shorter hair).
    • Also, the Boston Phoenix list of Unsexiest Men said he looks like "Taylor Swift's little sister".
  • Unfortunate Implications: He once said in an interview that he doesn't think rape victims should be allowed to have abortions because "everything happens for a reason."
  • What an Idiot!: A girl claimed that he was the father of her baby. When it was revealed that if he was, she could potentially face statutory rape charges, she backed off from this claim.
