Kairo is a puzzle game by Richard Perrin (makers of The white chamber).
Kairo is a world opened for exploration, seemingly completely void of all life except the player themselves - there are some strange floating runes to be found as well.
The game can be found here. Not to be confused with the Japanese film of the same name.
Tropes used in Kairo include:
- Go Mad From the Isolation: At one point, you come across an observation room with a skeleton at the desk, with some desperate words written into the arm of the stone chair.
- Minimalism
- Hint System
- Moon Logic Puzzle: The puzzles are pretty much impossible without hints.
- Nothing Is Scarier: The trailer and the full game took this route.
- Ruins for Ruins Sake
