Amnesia Episode The first part of the game deals with Lute suffering from amnesia due to a cursed mask on his face where he finds himself in the port town of another country. The Kingdom of Edelleland and Lute's harem are frantically trying to find him.
Armor-Piercing Question Rosalyn shows her admiration of Lute from the feats he’s accomplished. Estoria asks her why she likes Lute despite never meeting him before. Rosalyn counters by asking Estoria why she hates Lute despite never meeting him before.
Aw, Look -- They Really Do Love Each Other Lute truly loves each and every one of the members of his harem.
Battle Harem Lute's harem at the start contains: A succubus (the 2nd highest class of demon), a former rebellion leader who is regarded as the best knight in the entire continent (in nearly every way), a Royal Knight that was the 2nd highest scoring graduate of the Knight's Academy, a scholar with enough magical knowledge to be able to use spells to enslave someone's will, a princess whose body possesses special demonic traits that make her just as lethal to fool around with as a succubus, a strong-willed woman of nobility, a truly high-grade magician AND a swordswoman who is actually the Queen of Fronce aka one of the major powers on the entire continent. By the end, the roster increased to a whopping eleven with the addition of a mermaid princess who moonlights as a pirate captain, a haughty judgmental princess who is forced into prematurely ruling her country, and the queen of a warring country who is an undine.
Downer Beginning Lute wakes up with amnesia in the country of Hillsland with nothing but a mask latched onto his face.
Everybody Has Lots of Sex In keeping tradition of the first game. Just about every single named female character that appears on-screen has a scene of this at one point.
Exactly What It Says on the Tin: The Mask of Amnesia is a mask that causes amnesia to the wearer.
Fanservice As with the previous titles, this game is brimming with it. (Quite literally.)
Gag Boobs Oh man... The trend continues with nearly every single female character introduced having a pair of huge knockers. At one point, this saves Lute's life in the alternate ending where a gorgon petrifies anyone who looks at her statue (touching the statue will defeat her). Lute finally comes up, but his focus was on the gorgon's breasts, who keeps trying to tell Lute to look at her face. He ignores her and touches the statue, defeating her and saving everyone present.
Gaiden Game: As the name says, though it's more a direct sequel and follow-up to the True Ending of the previous game. It picks up 5 years after the 1st gaiden's ending.
Harem Hero: Lute starts off this way, officially married to four of his harem members, and is just as bound to the others even if it's not "official". The number increased to eight by the end.
Hot Consort: Every single one of Lute’s harem is a sexy greatly-endowed woman.
Immodest Orgasm It's a nukige visual novel with all female characters voiced... NONE of them are quiet about it.
Loophole Abuse Cardinal Catholicis tries to call fraudulence on Lute and Rosalyn's marriage as that it "doesn't count" because he "hid the truth about his status as King of Edelland", nevermind the fact that Lute had been amnesiac at the time thanks to the cursed mask. Despite that, Catholicis still argues that amnesia "is no excuse". Of course, this is just his own biased view since he doesn't like Lute to begin with simply for being married to Shamsiel, a succubus. There’s also the fact Catholicis was the one who had the Mask of Amnesia sent to Lute in the first place.
Love Across Battlelines Lute and Princess Rosalyn fall in love while he was amnesiac. Also Serebria when she kidnapped Lute.
Non Action Hero Lute gets put in several situations where he could have died, but never once does he actually do the fighting himself. Instead he opts to try and find more peaceful ways to solve problems, but that's not to say he doesn't put his life (and in some cases, his very soul) on the line to protect those he cares about.
Only Sane Man: Who actually qualifies as one during the plot is a recurring theme.
Plot With Porn: Just like the previous titles, there is an engaging story about Lute suffering from amnesia, his lovers desperately trying to find him, his being cured, taking down so-called usurpers, and uniting the continent under a peaceful rule. And still have plenty of porn scenes to enjoy!
Practical Effects This game makes good use of its special effects and visuals to bring forth a far more entertaining experience than the first one. It does a LOT with what it has.
Reality Ensues: This game explodes the conceit the True Ending of the last game meant everything would be fine for Lute. In fact, this game covers all the loose ends and political resentments the previous game planted the seeds for.
Royals Who Actually Do Something: Drives the plot. Lute is considered a lazy Handsome Lech by his enemies, and while they aren't wrong to some extent, he's actually much sharper than he let's on, purposely weaponizing that perception of himself so his Obfuscating Stupidity continues to work for him.
- His enemies also happen to be largely royals themselves, and they are attempting to be this trope to gain an advantage over Lute politically.
Running Gag: This game continues the incredibly dumb Faceless Mooks assassins gag from the previous games, complete with Lute foiling their schemes to a point it's insulting. There’s also Lute and other characters getting someone’s name wrong.
Single Target Sexuality Lute’s harem are only interested in him and him alone. His original six spurn off any advances and passes Legrand sends them.
Taken for Granite: Anyone who looks at the gorgon statue’s face will get petrified into statues. Lute managed to defeat the statue by keeping up his Male Gaze.In the True Harem route, this is the final fate of Emperador II.
Took a Level In Badass Pretty much all the characters who returned from the first game, demonstrate themselves as becoming even MORE badass than they were in the first.
Unlikely Hero Most of the foreign powers in their world are uncertain how they should actually view Lute. Some think he's just a pervy idiot who got lucky, others just don't bother with him at all. It makes it all the more satisfying when they actually meet him and once they've gotten to know him, they see how truly capable as a ruler and how kind he really is.
Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe: Used somewhat, but in the manner of a Translation Convention. While most in Edelland speak modern English, the translation has the others from foreign countries make moderate to heavy use of this trope to distinguish the foreignness of their native languages. It's especially prevalent with characters from Fronce, which is rather logical, as Edelland is basically a Prussia Expy.
