Least I Could Do/Trivia

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Executive Meddling: For an Animated Adaptation that was never made. This became the subject of much contention between Sohmer, DeSouza, and Tele Toon. Blind Ferret have been at it since 2007, with limited success beyond a set of shorts. Then Tele Toon struck them up on an offer--and then stated their plans to completely mangle the source material,Cultural Translation, convincing Sohmer and co. to leave. In 2011, Tele Toon created a copyright-friendly ripoff, and a hackeneyed one at that, of what would have been the Animated Adaptation (entitled "The Dating Man"), spurring Blind Ferret Entertainment (along with Randy Milholland) to get a pilot produced independently.
  • What Could Have Been: If not for the ridiculous amount of Executive Meddling (see above), an Animated Adaptation would have actually been made, and provided a new low by which to judge just how unfunny a cartoon could be. Until then there's always Allen Gregory... which is probably pretty close to the same thing.
