Legends of Wrestling/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • And the Fandom Rejoiced: The inclusion of Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage and Sting in Showdown.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Rob Van Dam signed for an appearance in the first game, but then got signed to the WWE before the game would come out. In 2010 the same thing would happen for him at THQ, he signed for an appearance as a "Legend" in Smackdown vs. Raw 2011, and then signed with TNA before the game was released.
    • Likewise, the same thing happened to Legends Of Wrestling 2 with Eddie Guerrero, he signed on to the project, and even did an interview for inclusion in the game, in-between his WWE stints, and was resigned at WWE before the game's release.
  • Porting Disaster: The GBA port of the second game.
  • So Bad It's Good: While nowhere near the quality of most other wrestling games, a surprising number of old school fans still mostly enjoy the second installment of the series, cheesy as it is. It's helped by the attention to detail on the old school territories, and it's one of the only games to include wrestlers such as Harley Race, Bam Bam Bigelow, Dynamite Kid and Bret Hart.
