• Contest Winner Cameo: The Reloaded version had this as Kickstarter pledge goals. These included patrons in Lefty's, the crowd calling Larry a pervert in the convenience store, background characters in the disco, and drunks found in Lefty's backroom and outside the convenience store.

• Life Imitates Art: There's the Hard Disk Cafe, a parody of Hard Rock Cafe, but there later appeared a real Hard Disk Cafe in Calgary, AB, Canada. Maybe coincidence.

Leisure Suit Larry 7: Love for Sail!

• Working Title: On Al Lowe's site, the page "Larry 7 Rejected Titles" lists thirty seven alternate titles. Some of them made their way into the game as books in the ship's library.

• Franchise Killer: Box Office Bust more or less ensured that non-remake games of Leisure Suit Larry wouldn't see the light of day, so much that Al Lowe ended up thanking Activision (who had absorbed Sierra by that point) for keeping him and themselves away from the atrocity (Activision had sold the series to Codemasters by the time Box Office Bust was in early development).
• Franchise Zombie: Leisure Suit Larry 8 and Leisure Suit Larry 9, which were created without Al Lowe being involved.
• God Does Not Own This World: Al Lowe had little-to-no involvement in the last two games.
• Missing Episode: Leisure Suit Larry 4: The Missing Floppies. Actually, Al Lowe declared after the third part that he'd never make Leisure Suit Larry 4. He kept his promise, didn't make Leisure Suit Larry 4 and continued with Leisure Suit Larry 5.
• Name's the Same: There are technically two games in the series named Leisure Suit Larry's Casino. The first one was a compilation of the casino games from the Leisure Suit Larry 1 VGA remake and Leisure Suit Larry 5 under the Crazy Nick's Software Picks budget line. There are also two Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail!s as well.
• Old Shame: Mary Kay Bergman wasn't too fond of her role as the foulmouthed Peggy from Love for Sail!. She personally requested not to be credited for the role in the credits, so Peggy was listed "as herself" instead. Keep in mind this was before she landed her role as most of the female population of South Park.
• Production Posse: Both Jan Rabson and Neil Ross worked on Freddy Pharkas: Frontier Pharmacist with Al Lowe, voicing Zircon Jim Laffer and the narrator respectively.

• What Could Have Been:
  • Around after the development of Love for Sail!, there were plans for an eighth installment of the series called Lust In Space. However, due to uncertainty between Lowe and CUC Software, the owners of Sierra at the time, he left the company, grinding production to a halt. However, Al lowe has some stuff about this unmade title.
  • According to the video game book Porn & Pong: How Grand Theft Auto, Tomb Raider and other Sexy Games Changed Our Culture, when the Leisure Suit Larry series was hot, there were talks about a Leisure Suit Larry film. Jim Carrey was offered a role for the film, but he later declined the role. Al Lowe mentions that the studios offered Carrey scripts for the film that didn't feel like the game. This youtube user states that they should have done a cartoon of Leisure Suit Larry in the 90's right after Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail!.
